What Parents Need to Know
About Enchanted
Parents need to know that this mostly live-action Disney fairy tale will appeal to kids -- even very young ones -- who have seen the many trailers and TV ads. Like most Disney flicks, the romance is chaste (a few kisses), the violence is mild (though the climactic battle with a dragon at the end could scare some sensitive little ones), and the language isn't an issue. That said, there are quite a few product placements (not to mention the tie-ins to the whole Disney Princess juggernaut) and one scene of a character getting drunk at a bar.

Families Can Talk About
- Families can talk about what made kids want to see this movie -- the story or the advertising and Disney Princess marketing? Why are Disney Princess products so popular? Families can also discuss how this movie fits into the fairy tale genre. What other stories does it make references to? How is the story different from other princess movies? Kids: Do you think Giselle made the right decision?

Too cute flick needs more pizazz
The thing about "Enchanted" was it didn't have much edge, which I guess kiddie comedies aren't supposed to. But it felt too safe to me. The fairy tale tie-ins are pretty funny.

Cute!
It's cute and it was a good twist to the princess movies because it included real people, and not just cartoons. My cousins and friends all liked it, their ages ranging from 7 to 31.

Ideal for tweens and older girls, great mom movie
Sweet, adorable movie best suited for older girls (8/9+) and parents. Typical Disney fairy-tale sort of thing, with lots of adult themes. Dempsey is the dashing handsome reluctant hero, and Adams is sugary sweet princess in need.

Too Much a Fairy Tail
Nothing to worry about, except the part with the shower was a little akward. Not, bad though. All my little cousins loved the princess part of it, but I thought it was a little too much like all the rest of the Disney Princess movies.

Fun
Lots of fun, but painfully sweet in the beginning, teens be warned! I was gagging into my hand for the first fifteen minutes, which is precisely the point. It was a little overwrought and the character of Giselle was painfully embarrassing (again, precisely the point). Despite the fact that I am not a fan of Patrick Dempsey, I really enjoyed Giselle's performance. (Didn't that actress get an Oscar nomination this year?) All in all, probably not going to be enjoyed by the teen crowd, but fun all the same. My little brother and sister were a little frightened by the dragon, but the (mild) innuendo went over their heads.

Funny and Fun
This movie is great for a family to see together. Most younger boys would still enjoy it even though it is a cinderella type of movie.

Very cute
There is a little bit of innuendo in this movie, but the kids most likely won't catch onto it. It is a very cute movie, great for families to watch together. I actually enjoyed it, and I don't like movies like this often. A few places even made me laugh. There is not that much violence, but the witch is pretty scary at the end, especially for younger kids.
