Lycia Fried is native of Richmond, Va. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 1991 with a bachelor's degree in history. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, Rocky Fried, and her four children, McRae, Max, Eli, and Gus. Previously she was the director of research at Laurel Capital Management, an investment advisory firm (now Hall Capital Partners). Before joining Laurel in 1995, Lycia worked at Farallon Capital Management, a San Francisco-based hedge fund. Lycia is an active supporter of community organizations, particularly the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco. She has served on the boards of The Little School and the Junior League of San Francisco.
