What is Digital Life? Digital Life describes the media world that our kids inhabit 24/7 – online, on cell phones and mobile devices, and anywhere media is displayed. How can we help our kids use this powerful new force in a positive and ethical way?

Common Sense Media’s new white paper, “Digital Literacy and Citizenship in the 21st Century: Educating, Empowering, and Protecting America’s Kids,” proposes eight key initiatives to develop a national digital literacy program and integrate it into our educational curriculum. This white paper is meant to be a “living document” and will be updated on a regular basis.
