BLOKUS (or Blokus HD for the iPad) is one of the best board game-to-video game translations on mobile devices. With smooth, easy controls, simple to learn rules, and loads of strategy and tactics to pick up along the way, it's a game that you'll want to keep playing for quite some time. It looks simply fantastic in its virtual incarnation, and is very well suited to multiplayer gaming. The iPad version's ability to let multiple people play on the same device gives it the edge over the iPhone version, but either is a great app for gaming with friends. Even going solo, though, you'll find a fun single-player tournament mode to sharpen your skills and keep you entertained for hours.
