Kids can learn shortcuts and tricks for 25 kinds of math problems mostly related to addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and square numbers. By following the directions and practicing on the three practice problems provided following each trick, kids can learn patterns that work to solve problems that involve specific numbers. For example, Fun Math Tricks gives a shortcut for dividing by 5, 50, 500, and another trick for squaring numbers if you know the square of the previous number. Fun Math Tricks offers tweens and teens good challenges for mental math development.

Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that kids and teens who already have a solid foundation in math will learn extra helpful tricks with Fun Math Tricks. They will learn 25 mental math secrets here, from how to quickly multiply two-digit numbers to squaring numbers without doing the problems in the typical, longer ways. Once a trick is taught, the app provides a few sample problems for players to try. Then they can take on timed challenges to test their new skills, which is sure to amaze and impress parents, teachers, and fellow math lovers.
Is It Any Good?
There aren't any bells and whistles on FUN MATH TRICKS, but it makes it easy for kids to learn some amazing mental math secrets. This app is sure to frustrate kids who don't already know their multiplication table, square roots, and other mid-level math skills. But for tweens and teens who have already mastered those, this app will help boost math confidence, performance, and maybe even test scores, too.
