What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Spicy Piggy is an arcade game for iOS and Android devices. Using simple touch controls, players have to help a pig run an obstacle course full of traps, enemies, and blockages. Players also clear pathways of obstacles and enemies with their fire breath, but since the game has an old- school gaming look about it, you don't see anyone being hurt. The game also doesn't have any inappropriate content. Players can keep playing when they fail by watching an ad (assuming they haven't sprung for the ad-free version) or by spending some of the peppers they've picked up. There are also static ads for other games when you start playing. Read the developer's privacy policy for details on how your (or your kids') information is collected, used, and shared, and any choices you may have in the matter, and note that privacy policies and terms of service frequently change.

What’s It About?
In SPICY PIGGY, you're a little piggy who has to run through an obstacle course so you can get yourself a milk shake. Good thing you know how to jump and slide, as the course is full of numerous obstacles and enemies. Levels are also full of peppers, which you can use to shoot fireballs that will clear some of the barriers and bad guys in your way. How far can the piggy go?
Is It Any Good?
This app is designed to be tough, but fans of old-school arcade games will find it to be as engaging as it is challenging. In Spicy Piggy, you're a pig who really wants a milkshake, so you run an obstacle course that's full of obstacles and bad guys as well as spicy peppers. Which means you have to not only jump and slide at just the right time, but also use your fiery breath to dispatch the bad guys and some of the barriers in your way.
While the controls may be simple, getting through these courses isn't easy. Not only are they crowded and complicated, requiring split-second precision and timing, but you also have only one life to give for your, uh, milkshake. Which is why this is like a really hard version of Super Mario Bros ... or a slightly easier version of Super Meat Boy. Either way, if you're someone who enjoys a challenge -- as well as old-school, two-dimensional games -- you'll find that Spicy Piggy is as good as, well, a milkshake after a spicy meal.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about advertising. When you fail in Spicy Piggy, you can watch an ad to keep going, or use some of the peppers you've gathered, so how did you decide when to watch an ad and when to spend a pepper?
Spicy Piggy is designed to be hard, but why do you think people like to be challenged? Do you feel a sense of accomplishment when you beat a level after failing at it numerous times?
