Good, funny book
This book is good and funny. The characters are smart, and the story is interesting. The surprising sexual themes make this book iffy for thise 10 and younger.

LOVE IT
Fantastic book. For me, the topic for family discussion would be the treatment of Moose's sister, Natalie. Natalie is developmentally delayed and her illlness looks a lot like Autism. The family's whole life surrounds getting help for Natalie in a time where asylums seemed to be the most convenient solution. This could result in a great family discussion about the treatment of those with disabilities.

A Great Book!! :)
This book is a good way to understand the difficulties of autism and as a 11 year old I loved it so much I just had to get the next book.

- Excessive violence
- Negative role models

- Educational
You have to realize thats its fiction, but also that these kind of things really did happen.
This Book, I think, appeals to Boys more than girls. I could actually picture things in some parts of the book. All in all, the best book I have ever read.

perfect for kids 10+
it refers to a beating with a bat-violence. piper delibritly breaks the rules moose follows-bad messages and bad role models. it does teach the difficultys of autism

Interesting, if you are into history.
I rate this title on for age 2 and give itVery Good Book for Any Kid
My English teacher is reading this to us. It is really good. Moose and all the other characters are so believable! This book is a good representation of kids with mental disablities. Natalie is such a sweetheart. I disagree with CSM on this one... it's an awesome book!

Uhhhh...
I had to read this book for a summer reading assignment and I really did not want to read it. But I forced myself to and it was actually a really good book. There is a little to much innuendo for my age but oh well.

Eye roller.
The little girl, Natalie, is supposed to be autistic. My brother is actually autistic, and I felt like they are nothing alike. For some reason this book made me mad.

A must read for kids who feel trapped
I think this book is great for kids who feel trapped in one place and have no way to get out! Al Capone does my shirts is a great novel to get lost in and it'll make you cry to put it away.

Pretty Good Book
This book is actually quite good, aside from the innuendos. Because of that, the book may be more appropriate fro kids 10+. But the book overall, is pretty good; likeable characters, interesting plot, and a good message.

It's not that bad!
Despite the article about this book, it's actually quite good.
