Common Sense Note
Parents need to know that this is a wonderful book for any dog lover. It's also a great vocabulary builder and perfect for early readers. It should be noted that one of the interactive tabs lifts a dog's leg, and there's a photograph of one dog crouched in a pre-poop stance. While the pull tabs are sturdy, a 2-year-old could still pull them off.
Families can talk about all different kinds of dogs. Which ones are your favorite? Why? What are some of the day-to-day tasks involved in taking care of a dog? What does it take to keep your dog safe, happy, and healthy?

Pat the Bunny meets Go, Dog. Go! in this adorable photographic board book for kids of all ages. The soft ears, shaggy fur, and pull tabs that make legs move will inspire kids to match words with the photographs of the all different kinds of dogs.
Early counting, basic adjectives, and simple adverbs will help the earliest readers master both words and dog breeds.
This is an excellent book to put on the floor with your youngest children and watch them entertain themselves -- even without understanding the words.
Plot Summary:
This is more of a reference work than a story. Individual dogs are pictured doing very doggie things.
