This is the kind of book that might make some people emotinally scarred and other people luagh and other people amazed and satisfied. But as for me it made me...... FREAKIN ANGRY! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENS TO THE FRIGGEN BAUDAFRIGGENLAIRS!?!??!?!?!?!

This series is a MUST read
For what it's worth, I love this series and this final book says why: Too many parents are sheltering their children in a paranoid and delusional manner these days. I remember a much more free childhood than my daughter has. Granted, there are horrid people out there, but our kids need to know it and deserve more than sugar coating. Sheltering them won't help. This series deals with these issues in a responsible way and alerts kids to subtle issues of personal responsibility and moral introspection. Kudos to Daniel Handler (Lemony S.).

- I rate this title iffy for age 10 and give itMy concerns are:
- Excessive violence
- My highlights are:
- Good role models
These books are smart, witty and well-written, but I honestly can't get past the perpetually gloomy tone. It's frustrating to know that every time something good happens to the characters, something bad will come and ruin it again, and this book was no exception. Also, it seems to raise more questions than it answers, especially for those unfamiliar with the rest of the series. Despite that, they're still worth reading, if only for Snicket's acrid sense of humor and intimate knowledge of the English language. Violet, Klaus and Sunny also made for resourceful and interesting protagonists, though not ones as easy to relate to as those in the Potter or Percy Jackson novels.

The End
I loved the series as a kid. I always thought there was something I was missing as I read them though, like some kind of dark humour. But, I think this was just how the book was created... I wouldn't say this is the book for everyone. But if you're ok with worst case scenarios, and deathly accidents, I'd say you should tr y it out, even if you're a bit aged. :)

this book was the best out of the whole series by far! i looove the writing style of lemony snicket and how its so awesomely mysterious! its just that the ending made me SO MAD!throughout like the whole series he kept talking about the secret of the sugar bowl, so i thought he would reveal it in the last book but he just left hanging! i was like "what the heck was the whole sugar bowl thing supposed to mean?! and what does VFD stand for?!?! what happened to the Baudelaires?!? you were just getting to the good part!!!dont just leave me!!!" it will leave you maddeningly curious. overall, AWWWESOMMME book.

one of the best in the series
i absolutly LOVED IT!!!!! a lot of ppl seem to be critisizing lemony snicket that he left too many loose ends, but actually he didn'y and the answers to many questions a bit hidden in the rest of the series! this book is an awesome ending and im sad to see that the series is over. actually this book is one of my favorites, and i think he did a great job! but for kids, i'd be a bit careful, but for drugs there is a some kind of drink that everyone has on the island which clearly has a drug in it, a woman gives birth, someone is shot with a harpoon, threats, etc. but all in all a great book!!!

I Enjoyed This Book Then Craved Coridal.
I Absolutley Love The Series Of Unfortunate Events. When The Author, Lemony Snicket, Discourages You To Read On, You Crave The Book More And More Until You End Up Eating The Whole Book. The End, Is The Last In The Series, And It Ended Beautifully. Just When You Think The Baudelaires' Lives Couldln't Get Anymore Miserable, Snicket Decided To Write Some Sort Of Happy Ending. Although I'v Rated This Five Stars, I Wasn't That Satisfied At The End Of The End Was Starting To Begin Again.

Amazing!
Dude! I almost cried at the end! But even though this is a children't book there are some iffy things. The usual violence seen throughout the books is present. And the islanders are addicted to coconut cordial. And the Baudelaires are forced to do bad things, but it's for the right reason.
