Is it any good?
SECTOR 7's artwork is expressive and fascinating, although the humans are somewhat crudely drawn. The perspective is often from a low angle, as a child sees the world. Many pictures are grandly panoramic and full of intriguing details, but the story manages to be heartwarming too. Not only does the hero perform a service for the clouds but he also encourages the humorless Sector 7 staff to begin to accept the clouds' new appearances and to allow them to help out with the humans' tasks.
Other choices
The visual impact of the tale is similar to the author's picture book, June 29, 1999, which describes the sudden appearance of huge airborne vegetables over Earth. This story, in turn, may remind children of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. The plot of Sector 7 is also reminiscent of The Snowman.
