What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to known that Any Sign of Life is a science fiction adventure novel, in which one young woman awakens to find everyone in her town dead. Rae Carson, author of The Girl of Fire and Thorns Trilogy, takes a gripping premise and follows it through a series of exciting plot turns. Some violence, but there are many descriptions of decomposing bodies. Trey and Paige develop a physical relationship, as evidenced by the boy's taking some condoms from a pharmacy.

As ANY SIGN OF LIFE opens, high school basketball phenom Paige Miller wakes up to find herself alone and hooked up to a half-dozen IV tubes. Everyone else -- including her mom, step-dad, and brother -- are dead, victims of some toxic agent that killed 99 percent of the population in a matter of days. Accompanied by her dead neighbor's sheltie dog, Paige sets off to find other survivors. not knowing whether she's the last teenager on Earth.
