This book is surely my favorite of the series! Artemis has met his match at last with the 12-year-old-college-grad-child-genius Minerva!! No1, an imp who refuses to warp or mature, has escaped to the human dimension, where he is captured by Minerva. Artemis must find out where more demons will pop up. He must fight them before all is lost.
These books are written for middle school boys. Need I say more?
Expect flatulence and flat characters. Imagination and International intrigue gives these books fun fast paced reading.
Not the best, but worth reading it **SPOILER WARNING**
This series has never lost it's sense of humor.
The violence is, in my opinion, not much to worry about.
The only thing that was to different for me was Artemis taking a liking to Minerva.
The scene with Holly "dying" was a shocker...but I would've liked it if Artemis hadn't saved her so fast. The author should've left her dead for at least another chapter and then brought her back to life.
The ending was too fast-paced.
Parents are right to be nervous if they catch their child reading this book. But, Artemis, the criminal mastermind is not so criminal anymore.
Just be sure your kid doesn't have the younger, criminal version of Artemis as an idol.
