This book is really well-written and captivating. It was assigned to me for school, and I expected a really boring book (cuz, you know, it's HISTORICAL) but it turned out to be one of the best books I've read. It has a lot of powerful messages, and great role models. It also includes several life lessons, especially that you must ALWAYS understand the other side of the argument, as all points of views are important and you might just be misunderstanding each other. Personally, I wouldn't read this book solely for my own pleasure, as I don't LOVE historical fiction, but if you need to read something for social studies or history class, this would definitely by my #1 choice. It's very well written and one of the few great books in the historical fiction genre. Overall, it's a GREAT book - I highly recommend it.
