Oh ppl be quiet. What do you expect Tweens and teens to read? Fairtales about the princess who got saved by a prince and was bullies becuz she was poor and worked for an evil person. Hmmm. That sounds KIND of superficial to!! Besides, some kids dnt wanna read eragon or the notebook or stuff like that so u ahuldnt criticize their reading. It's just a little book and some of u ppl critisizing it sound dumb getting mad at a piece of paper and the successful author who wrote on it!!
The Clique Summer Collection: Massie is a well-written guilty pleasure novel that is an enjoyable and entertaining read for 3rd grade and up. Kids will enjoy the tongue-in-cheek comebacks and the fun details of the wealthy and privileged. Your children should be smart enough to realize that this is guilty pleasure fiction and should not be taken seriously. A+
Massie is a shallow, insecure, fashion addicted girl but she sure is entertaining and as the series goes on you'll see her change. This Clique book is one of my favorites
This book is a disgrace to the literary world. It has no redeeming value. I am absolutely amazed that parents let their children read this junk. I am even more astounded that it got published in the first place.
Sometimes, when it's good enough, I like to read chicklit. It can be thoroughly entertaining, when it's written in that witty, tongue-in-cheek, never-too-serious sort of way.
But this?
This isn't even chicklit. This is like chicklit, without the 'lit,' which just makes it 'chick,' which just makes it pointless.
From a fellow author's point of view, how can Lisi Harrison live with herself after marketing something this revolting to children?
