What to talk about

Talk to your kids
Families can talk about ecology, and all the other concepts presented here. What does Bo Bo learn from Irv about ecology, biodegradable products, carbon monoxide, and so on? What can Bo Bo do to help the earth? Better yet, what do you already do? What other changes can you make that will help protect the earth?

What's the story?

What's the story?
A young boy, Bo Bo Darling, meets up with Irv the turtle, who takes him on a journey around the earth and teaches him ways he can help the environment. Told in rhyme, various animals help present basic concepts and terms in alphabetic order.

Is it any good?

Is it any good?

It might be said that any book that teaches kids how to care for the earth is a worthwhile read. Without being overly preachy, this one offers a solid introduction to basic ideas about what ecology is and how it will help protect the earth. The rhyming makes it fun, while the animal characters and the brightly-colored cartooning keep it very accessible.

And, the author is practicing what he preaches. As is stated in the back, the publisher and printer have followed green practices in the production of this book, and are "proud signers of the Treatise for Responsible Paper Use."
