My name is Lucy and I am 13 years old. I absolutely love this book. It provides great messages to all teenagers. It made me believe, that though i am weak, that shows that i am stronger than others.
I believe Gathering Blue my Lowis Lowry was a wonderful book. However, when compared to The Giver, it is no good. Personally, The Giver was a much, much better book and Lowry has mistakenly downgraded.
This book was okay. I think the story was an excellent, creative, and awesome idea, but the way it was written made it a bit dull. I also don't understand why people call this the sequel to the Giver. It's completely different from that book.
hi there ! my name is Baili Smith & i read this book over the summer for a advanced class. this book was super boring in the beginning but turned out at the end of the novel to look pretty good and it taught me a great lesson.. i find this book quite great for others it just was not my type .
My name is Micha and I am 17 years old and my opinion on this book is very good. I think that every person should read this book sometime in there life time. It has a very good setting and detail. I would really recommend this book.

There are some books that try so hard to deal with ideas that it forgets about story (To Kill a Mockingbird comes to mind). None of the three sci-fi Lois Lowry books are like this. They deal with conspericy, deception, the future, and make it entertaining to read about. It is just the story of a girl mending a dress, but the scope is so much bigger, with her entire world slipping out from under her. The ending wasn't exceptional, but overall, great book.
FANTABULUOS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(to me at least)10 STARS!!!!!!!????
I thought this book was very good and had a good message. It didn't seem to have anything to do with The Giver, but maybe the third book will tie everything together.
This book was pretty good. There were a lot of large words, so if you are under 10, you should read it with a parent. I would highly recommend reading The Giver first, so you get an idea of what a utopia is. I didn't get any nightmares, so I guess it was good!
