Honestly, this book is pretty mundane- average. Nora Grey has no redeeming qualities - she is blank, period, like Bella Swan, and has no flaws and yet, she also isn't a Mary-Sue, leaving her just sort of there. Her friend Vee is funny and realistic, more spiced than Nora herself, but obsessed with food and sex and even drugs. Patch is actually a real
"bad boy" because he actually wants to murder Nora at first, and actually hangs in bad places and talks about just sex....classic bad boy. Even then, he makes no move to have sex towards Nora - except for flirting and kissing her once, he's a verbal guy, with hands OFF Nora, and he actually chooses love, over being human, which is quite a good quality.....also, the book itself is nice. I enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next one. But nice is as best as it gets. In fact, i hardly think they even kiss - i'm pretty sure Nora stops him with her Mother's cell call before they even kiss, so making out never happens in the book. There's excessive talk of Sex and Nora's "killer legs" from Patch, but nothing more that you should really watch out for. Average, even "good" behavior from highschool sophomores is found in Hush Hush - but the violence is big. Lots of guns, murder and talk of injuries, its action filled, but not very bad. I think anyone twelve and up should read it.
