Alright, so I've read numerous reviews all saying that this is a "terrible book" or "I'd rather have my child read nothing than read this". Well, don't get me wrong here, sure there is some risky detail thrown in, but parents don't act like your children don't know what any of this is. It's not like you haven't done any of what is described in this book before, so don't bash a book because it describes teens having a little fun! After all, it is JUST A BOOK! Sure you hear stories about teen partying and whatnot, but honestly, if you have taught your kids well enough, they should know that it's wrong to do those types of things at their age. So if you think that this is a terrible book, maybe you should talk to your children about being responsible, and maybe gain the trust from them before you go and take a great book out of their hands. Personally, my parents have taught me well, and they know that they can trust me reading the TTYL series, or watching TV shows on MTV or VH1, and knowing that I shouldn't go out there and reinact what I read or saw. I have read all three books, and I believe they are more about the struggles and pressures of being a teenage girl than telling kids to go drink and do drugs (both of which I am against). These books are about friendships going through good and bad times, and it's a way to show teens that if their friendship is struggling, it can be fixed. So teens, tell your parents that you are reading a book with some mature content in it, and don't be afraid to say "Trust me, I'm responsible enough to know not to do these things." And parents, if you haven't already read the series, maybe you should try it out; maybe it'll bring back memories of your teenage-self.
