We stumbled on this book in our local library and my 2 1/2 year old daughter and I loved it! I just ordered it today and can't wait to have it as a regular in our line-up. The rhyming story was really nice, the colors and illustrations really eye-catching and creative, and such a good portrayal of how a little one can get mad and frustrated. I loved the way the Mama helped the Llama feel better through her patience and connection instead of anger -- such a good lesson in love and patience.
LLama is bored during the trip to the grocery store riding in the grocery cart. Great rhymes and great book. I also recommend Ladybug Baby Bug, by Janice and Mark Perkins, for this age group. Both books have loveable characters and wholesome, family messages.
My 2 year old son loves this book. And I do, too! Its the story of our life! lol! I'm not sure if he picks up on the "message" yet, but I'm sure he will soon, the more we read it.
I like this book tells the story of little llama throwing a tantrum while out shopping with mama. But mama doesn't want to do it either, but we're together, and we can work together to get this done.
