Again, don't listen to the review read the kid's and parent's reviews.
The review says flabby ending... Flabby ending my beautiful butt!! I don't think they've read this book either! In order to review something you have to have read or watched it! True to his distinct writing style, James Patterson has delivered a thriller for an ending (or so we all thought!) to an amazing series that goes out with a bang. Although it still leaves your mind to imagine what happened to the flock and friends afterwords.

Maximum Ride is Top Flight!!!!!1
Love this series and Maximum Ride's prissy and swift remarks towards villains and the white coats. One of the most gripping books I've ever read since The Ghost on the Canyon.

10+
Best Book Ever!!!!!!!!!!! It is a little bit of a advanced plot, with all the fighting and killing, but it really makes you want to read it and not put it down.

Can find nohing good with the execution of this book.......
I'm reviewing the Maximum Ride books for my English project on if young adult books should be taught in schools. After reading the first book I requested to change authors, but it was to late. I'm now stuck with what was briliantly summed up earlier as "a series of pointless plot twists." As a fan and advocate of young adult fiction, it hurts me to accept these books into the usually entertaining and rewarding category. Perhaps if a teacher would read this to a second grade class, they would be the perfect audience. Then the educational highlights that some fans selected would apply.

As a teen, i find this book very entertaining. It is very humorous and action packed. The best parts aren't the resolution, but its the journey they take to get there. With brave, smart, courageous and well rounded characters it makes an amazing book.

Good concept, bad execution
Okay, I'm trying my best as an amatuer, not very dedicated writer, but, though I haven't taken any classes, this is bad literature. Sure, it is mildly interesting, but if you ever stop to think about the plot, you'll quickyl get stuck in holes. How do you solve these holes? Dous ex Machina! Seriously, a dous ex machina can be used as a nice plot twist occasionally, but for almost all of the plot point of the story? I mean there's the perfect laptop, which leads to the ending, and there is Angel's ongoing mind control, which I have yet to see scientific proof of, that solves most problems with food and stuff. The most interesting character is Ari, with is quiet depression, but he is mentioned so little that when he dies, you don't notice the difference afterwards. Just read the first two books and call your local obbsessie to get the info found in this book and go read something else. Also, there isn't much objectionable as most of the action is described in a way that is impossible to picture, so if you are old enough to handle the plot, you'll be fine. The concept of the ethics of genetic engineering isn't even thought about and described as inhumane and that's that, no second thought to implications. Not hard to digest.

It Takes More Thinking Than You're Doing
Maximum Ride is portrayed on this website as poorly written and without meaning. I disagree. Surely, I've read better books... but this wasn't BAD. Maximum leads her family through tough times, knowing that she's different to the point of it endangering her, and still wishing to help a world that has put her through much pain and misery. That is my very definition of admirable. Many people, who've been through less than her, turn their backs to humanity. People I know and love. My uncle, Matt, is building a lodge in the Michigan wilderness to aviod dealing with the people who make his life miserable. My friend Kyra used to cut to avoid those people. Audree, another friend, clings to me instead of risking abuse from more people, because her mother fills her life with pain. Knowing what I know, the fact that Max doesn't run away even if she COULD makes her a strong person. In that light, she is a powerful roll model.

ThE story behind...
So if you've ever read When the wind blows or The lake house (both about the flying kids, but a different set) know that this is the same thing minus the sex, max's babies, and frannie and kit. now the max in this book is a dirrerent one then the one in the others, but if your hoping for another book to go with the liake house then i would read these books becouse i don't think he's going to write a sequel to the best book ever (the lake house!)

James Patterson has a good idea in mind, but actually pulling it off is a completely different story. At first what appears to be creative, albeit mindless fiction soon becomes silly, far-fetched and plot-less. Around this time in the series, all the protagonists are doing is fighting, being captured, escaping, and fighting again. Sounds fine the first five or six times around, but soon becomes redundant and monotonous. I have read the entire series, and the books also start to become suffocatingly preachy about saving the environment.
