One of the best ways of inspiring a child for learning about a Civil war
i think it would be a good model for a story about a civil war .and makes the kids to read more. it coud be one of the best ways to inspire the kids about some themes like brother hood ,loyality, ownership, experience, violence ,glory, braveness, and such more!just think of it as apush up fo a child.

Outstanding book!!
My son and I read this book together and we could not put it down! It is funny, suspenseful and has historical relevance. It does show the realism of war (takes place during the civil war) which my son and I discussed as we were reading it. I loved that actually. We both highly, highly recommend this book. It's an exciting, page-turning story while giving a little history lesson at the same time! What more could a parent want!!
