Original and well written

This book, a mix between Inception and Groundhog day, is a very well written psychological novel, with complex caracters and situations. It's confusing and dark but brilliant. Better for older thriller fans that'll understand it.

Riveting and thought-provoking

Moderately violent with occasional language and talk of sex. Complex story and characters. I couldn't put it down.

this book emotionally wrecked me

It's a amazing book, don't get me wrong. But I really believe that the messages and the dark themes this book gets across (possible suicide, self-harm, family issues) shouldn't be read by those younger then fourteen or anyone not mature enough to accept these. It kind of messed with my mind and gave me a mini premature existential crisis. The plot twist at the end absolutely destroyed me, this BOOK destroyed me. (I'm still a little hopped up on adrenaline from the plot twist.) It as suspenseful, my eyes just could not stop devouring every word. For fourteen years old and up, I think this is a great book for anyone who wants anything mysterious, dystopian, fantasy, romantic, adventure and more to read. I really recommend this.

Very complex concept

Because this book has a very complex concept and has a couple of uses of f***ing and sh**, I'd give this to kids 15+. This was very intriguing and mystic, and can be read in one sitting!

Dark, intense thriller for mature teens

Neverworld Wake follows five friends who meet up at an estate a year after graduating from a prep school. Their first night at the estate, a man called the Keeper tells them that they're all nearly dead and they will keep living the same day unless they can vote on one person to live-the other four must die. I say 16+ because of violence(characters buy guns and raid a police station, one character commits suicide but as he is in the Neverworld his death is not permanent, a man is kidnapped), mentions of sex, language(a couple uses each of f---, s--t, sh--head, da--, and god----), and drinking/drugs(there's a drunk driving accident, characters frequently get drunk and throw up, one character admits to being a drug dealer). Although I think the author can do better, I still thoroughly enjoyed this psychological thriller that you will race through and be on the edge of your seat the entire time.
