I've read it five times!
I loved this book I read it five times at least. It has a happy ending, some parts will make jump for joy and some parts will make you cry. A must read for any child.

Excellent story
A person of any age would benefit from reading this novel. People need to understand what happened to people in Europe during WWII and to see how it affected everyone. There is also the important aspect of friendship that is portrayed in the novel, which is a good model for anyone.

Great book
Wonderful book with positive message. Kids need background on World War II (specifically Jewish people hiding from Nazis). 3rd graders love it, but would have them read with an adult. Good independent book for 4th and up.

An excellent read!
A wonderful and sad introduction for children to the horrors of the Holocaust. Better read outloud.
