Good
They almost start cussing Thia and Percy when ther at a dam they say stuff like “where's the dam snack bar” or “where's the dam restroom” and in all of the books Percy says stuff like I cursed in ancient greek. In book 5 Percy says wow they really knew how to rhym those cuss words. But it's a great book for Tweens and teens.

Great for fantasy and mythology lovers!
I loved it, it is my friends fave book and I think the hunters are awesome! And I know alot of people are freaking out because of the hover dam thing, but that just made the book more funny, if that's even possible! ;)

Liked the Hunters, missed Annabeth.
Probably the worst one in the series....Annabeth is my favorite. The only really good part were the Hunters of Artemis!!! I'd soooo take Zoe Nightshade's place as head Huntress!

gret for anyone as long as your not my 7 year old half-brother who only likes something called club penguin.
i love it. The whole "i wan't the dam T-shirt" was hilarious. Spoiler in the next book percy and annabeth ecome a couple they already slightly like each other. There was violence language bla bla bla,but it was still very funny and a good book. i liked it.

Really funny!
This is the best in the series yet! It has tons of action. It has a lot of funny parts. I agree with " leapoffaith"- the dam thing was funny, and it's not too bad. This book was hilarious.

Fun, Hilarious, Action-packed and Positive- A Buy!!
I finished this book about ten minutes ago, and I thought to myself, I HAVE to review this!! This book was totally amazing. I know, I sound like a typical, preppy teenage girl. But it's true. It really was a fun book to read, and (SPOILER ALERT!!) I LOVED the Percy/Aphrodite scene; mostly because it TOTALLY FORESHADOWED (SPOILER ALERT!!) Percy falling in love with Annabeth!!! I LOVE LOVE!!! Anyway. Don't worry about the violence; it wasn't bad. And don't worry about the "dam" thing... it was so freaking funny... trust me, if you read it, you won't have a problem with it. Totally hilarious. Definitely the funniest part of the book! Totally educational. Every book in this series I read, I learn something new about Greek mythology. Really, really good messages, such as loyalty, friendship, dealing with loss and letting people down, and Percy fights for a sea creatures life towards the end. Great messages. GREAT, GREAT role models. The people you'd think to be models- the Greek gods- most of the time aren't. Percy, Grover, Thalia, Zoe, and Bianca are certainly keepers. Percy, the heroine, is loyal and a great friend. Grover is a nature lover and, frankly, lovable. Thalia is her own self, even when she's been through bad stuff. Zoe is rough on the outside, but learns to open up. Bianca is amazingly brave. It's all a great, overall, positive book. Not to mention it's FUN! Very, very fun to read. All the PJO books are. Fun, hilarious, positive, and action-packed, The Titan's Curse is just as good- if not better- than it's two predecessors. Buy this one! :D

quarter blood girl writing, my parents are half bloods
the whole "dam" thing reminded me of something that happened in school, my classmate said the F word instead of "Thuckers", whatever that means! BTW, HEART THIS BOOK FOR LIFE! Aphrodite can definetly predict the future, so can i because WE KNOW **SPOILER** Annabeth WILL be Percy's girlfriend!!! Plus my mother is a daughter of Aphrodite too, and my dad is a son of Apollo! Awesome i'm a quarter blood. Many of my friends say i should be "full-blood" since my parents are half and half plus half equals full but i still don't get them. Read the books now! COME ON, PICK UP THE BOOK. I KNOW IT'S SOMEWHERE HERE -------------------------------------> Oh, and i almost forgot, for sea of monsters Common Sense Media forgot to mention that Annabeth kissed Percy in the cheek (i'm not saying that's bad but come on what if a four-year-old read it? Like my sister?)

A turning point in the books
This book is, in my personal opinion, the point where the story really picks up and kicks into high gear. It goes full-throttle forward and it's, yet again, another success for Riordan. There is that play on words about the Dam multiple times but it's not inappropriate or mean-spirited, just meant to be a light-hearted pun that didn't really concern me. SPOLIER: A character dies at the end that I came to like during the course of the book after finding out more about them. They sacrifice themselves nobley, and I'll admit that I did cry but the scene was beautiful and fit into the book seamlessly. Once again, there is some violence but nothing major. I think that anyone 10 & Up shouldn't have any trouble reading it and will probably love the story.

Really good book if you dont mind fantasy violence.
I'd say this is the best book in the series. People need to stop flipping out about the whole Hoover Dam thing. It really isn't that bad. If I was a parent I'd be more worried about the violence. A man kills his daughter, for crying out loud!!! Still, its a really good book.
