I'm in-between the ages of 10 and 15 and I loved this book!
This is my second time reading it, and I loved it! I wouldn't recommend it for people under the ages of 10. It is a little disturbing because of the 'unwinding' part, but it's NOT real, its FICTION.

A Great Sci-Fi for Teens
This book, although packed with messages--good ones, was very intriguing. The present-tense writing style and interesting plot made it hard to put down. I suggest it.

AWESOME
First of all commonsense you don't know nothing about kids. I've heard worse language in my school. The book is amazing with twists in the plot. I read it in a day, I coundnt put it down. The thought about unwinding is unique. The thought you could be going to school one and to harvest camp the next is scary and thrilling. And a new play on terrorism just makes it my faverate book yet! Take that commonsense!

Great for 13+
I personally loved it! Although this book does bring you down. I mean, after all parents do condemn their own kids to death. The role models (some of them) are positive because they fighting for what they believe in.

I was stuck into this book like a tick.
I was ingulped into it's pages five minutes after I recieved it. Extremely creative, well thought out. All of the characters are independent, but at the same time, need eachother to survive the world. It keeps you wondering what happens next, it's very hard to put down. Infact, I went to a waterpark with my family (I couldn't swim for 'reasons') and my option was this book. I was so stuck into it, they had to call my name at least three times before I was jerked away. As a warning, if you find discription of organs gross, you may find yourself queezy, consittering the book is about 'unwinding' when they take basicly every inch of you apart.

This should be a great read for kids 12+.
I'm a 12 year old boy and I found this book very fast-paced with much action. This is one of the better YA Sci-Fi books out there. There is violence and mention of abortion, but I think that kids age 12 and over should be able to read it. (If your kid has a high reading level and is 10 or 11, he should be fine(I have a 12th grade reading level)). However, parents, kids are exposed to much more talk of violence and sexual messages in the cafeteria. I would recommend this book to kids ages 12+.

Amazing book!
Although I don't really like the transition of characters' point of views, I have to give this book a 4 star. Neal Shusterman has made a completely amazing book about survival, trust, and hope.

Very well written young reader thriller! Anyone can read it, as long as they understand it. I think its good for 13 up, not because it's disturbing, because I think kids under that age are not mature enough yet to understand it integrally and it may be a little hard for them to read. I had dificulty understanding at some point too. I acctually had Neal Shuterman come to my school! He is very nice and takes time to write for his readers.

Better than Twilight!
This book was amazing! I read it at 13 and loved it! Its a bit violent. It makes you appreciate life right now, and it gives you a scenario that seems unacceptable right now.

BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!!!
This is one of the best books I have ever read. I just finished it about a day about and I can't get the characters and the book out of my head! It constantly is giving me things to think about and the story is beautifully writen. I believe this book gives teens a good sense on helping them feeling like they belong. Many teens don't know where they belong just like the three main characters in Unwind. It helped me see how different people can come together for one common goal...STAYING ALIVE. Although my life isn't that drastic I still love it. The only reason I don't recommend this book for anyone younger than 13 is because any kid that is younger some of the stuff might be over their head. 12 might be ok depending on how mature the child is. It is not very grusome (except for the "unwinding" part) I just find you will get more out of this book when you are older. However, this book is still a great book and recommend reading it!

Not one boring part in the book!
I am a 14 year old girl, and i LOVED this book! One of the best I have ever read. There was not a boring part in the book, I couldn't put it down. The topics in the story really got me thinking. I'd say it's good for 13 and up because some of the topics younger kids may not fully understand. But anybody who is thinking about reading this, you DEFINITELY should. The description of the story, at first I thought it was kind of weird , but I got past that once I started reading and overall the story was really interesting. Don't let the weird scare you off!
