great family book deserves a place in every home!
good book. Me and my 7 year old brother love it. however it is really quite violent. But al together it is a wonderful book and we had a great time reading it with my family!

Perfect for all ages....
My 8 year old daughter has read Where the Mt meets the Moon three times. Minli is a positive, hopeful and persistent. It's a beautiful story that shows how adults are capable of changing. The format of the book allows for reading aloud to younger children and holds their attention by completing a tale each chapter while holding their anticipation for the next chapter. My daughter wants to add that she loves the dragon.

This is a great adventure story about a girl who runs away from home and makes many new friends along the way. She is on a mission to give her family fortune,by finding the man of the moon.

Great to read and read again
My daughter and I read this together and now we have each reread it a few times. It's filled with lots of short stories woven into one story that shows the courage and strengths of a young girl trying to help her family. The adventures really draw you in and the story is well woven.

I love it!!! its awesome...... I love how everyone in the book either makes a friend or really like them. I recamend this for 8+.

Great!
I just LOVED this book!! It's a chinese-folktore-style version of the wizard of oz. My favorite thing about this book is that there is absolutely nothing that i think will keep parents from letting their kids read this book.overall, the plot was complicated but still, 5 stars!!

Excellent story for character and vocabulary development
Short chapters for easy read aloud
Exciting and adventurous some violence as mentioned but nothing like most Disney movies
