Nancy Grant, a Media Specialist at Penquis Valley High School (Milo, Maine) and Technology Chairperson for the Maine School Library Association, has played an instrumental part in implementing Common Sense Media’s Digital Literacy and Citizenship Curriculum at her school. As a leader in her school, Nancy solicited the help of two teachers she felt could implement the curriculum for Penquis’s pilot program. Throughout the implementation process, Nancy has mentor teachers at her school is a perfect example of how librarians should be involved. - read more

Laura Richter, a 7th Grade Technology Integrationist at Skowhegan Area Middle School, is an educator with a passion for technology and learning. Laura recognizes the importance of teaching students about Digital Citizenship, which is why she utilizes Common Sense Media’s Digital Literacy and Citizenship curriculum to help integrate technology into Skowhegan Middle School’s 7th grade education. “Our job as teachers,” says Laura, “is to guide [students] because parents do not know how to do this.” - read more
