THIS IS A REALLY FUN GAME!!

This is a really fun game but it does have two satanic symbols in it so you need to be careful. But other than that a very good game.

    I surprised myself

My sons are now in their 20s and I've never played one of their games until Guitar Hero II. I wasn't great but I had a lot of fun. I pleased them because at last we had something we could share. Of course, some songs by Glen Campbell would have been a real treat!

    PLAY THIS!!

Great game. very addictive and fun. This game may encourage your kid to get into 70's rock or start playing the guitar. They cut all of the songs that would be bad such as "Killing in the Name" by Rage Against the Machine. All of the female charatures are scantly clothed. Don't worry about anything being bad about this game except for its addictivness.

Very Disturbing (do your research before you let your kids play!!!)

Found alot out about the Guitar hero games they use a symbol on their games that is used by devil worshippers. it's kinda like "I love you" but with the thumb tucked in. it means "Forked One". you can see it on hte home page of the web site! Please do your homework parents! Be careful with these games!!!!

    dangerous lyrics

if this game had differnet songs i would give it a 10! its fun and challenging but several songs are by "death metal and "metalcore" groups whose songs contain very disturbing lyrics re: suicide and phrases such as "destroy yourself, see who gives a ****" even f profanity is edited for game its the contect in these songs that is very disturbing! not ok for ant teen. its beyond me why these songs were included-these are not mainstream groups and with over 40 years of rock history you would think they would have plenty to choose from without introducing teens to these types of bands and dark material.

    GREAT!

The only real cuss word is " h " , one character is skimpily dressed . But teaches coordination !

Unlike the first game, this one has iffy stuff in it

This game is great with better covers, co-op and everything. But even the first song is "Shout at the devil" but that's not the worst, Izzy Sparks has a pentagram going down his notes highway. Some iffy stuff for ages 6 and below.

    Number two in the series.

A great selection of songs for those who like older rock (and some newer but mainly older). I think there is cussing in like one song but thats it. So I'm going to have to say eight and older. Maybe even 9.

The best guitar hero game in the series.

Only two words can describe why this is the best of the soon-to-be 7 games in the guitar hero series. FREE BIRD. It is the very last song in career mode. Sure, some songs on there may have language that might offend but you are too busy to pay attention to the notes. So, if you dont want your kid to like another kind of music other than kiddie rock or Rap, get him/her a guitar hero game, like this one.

No other game can hold my attention like this one.

Guitar Hero 2 is a fast-paced rhythm game from Harmonix. The bulk of the game consists of pressing 5 different colored buttons on a plastic guitar-shaped controller's neck in sync with the colored dots flying at you on the screen. at the same time, you strum a lever on the body of the guitar, where you would normally strum on a real one. It may sound repetitive, but the number of skill levels present and the amount of songs included are definitely enough to shell out about $70. I have had this game for at least a year, and I still sit down sometimes to see if I am still as capable as I used to be. It takes a lot of skill and a lot of practice to work the game up to its full potential, but doing it with friends or family can easily make this game all the more exciting.

    Great game!

theres no violence or anything like that! there is some commercialism, like guitrars advertising axe deodorant (as a joke) and companys like gibson and les paul, (Its likely your child will want a real guitar after beating this) and some acahol but its not much of a problem! the controlls and gameplay feels great! and the graphics aren't the best, but there good! and also, this game isn't just on ps2, it's also on ps3, 360, and PC

    Simply wow...

On my Playstation 2, I have about 20-30 games. Out of all of them, Guitar Hero II is the ONLY one I still play. It has a great soundtrack, great gameplay, great everything overall. Plus, not including some curses here and there, the game is fine for almost any age.

A great game for everyone ten and older

this game is so fun! Even though there is language and innuendo, you're so busy playing that you don't even notice. It's a great game that improves your hand-eye coordination and zaps boredom.

Great Game, Great Music, and Awesome Guitar

I just read a review that was written by someone who complained about the fact that the game employs the "rock on" sign, accusing it of being associated with the devil. Unfortunately, this person must not realize that although it does have connections to the devil, it was popularized by the famous Ronny James Dio, who has written multiple songs that were fantastic and is also a singer for Black Sabbath. This hand gesture has become a part of rock history, and unless a person is unable to get past some pathetic mythology, they should have no problem with it. And finally, any person that does not appreciate this game due to a simple archaic hand gesture should be able to look past the superficial addornment and recognize what this game truly is, a marvelous salute to music, the art of guitar playing, and the guitarists who have made the genres of rock and metal possible.

    THIS GAME ROCKS

This is a very good game and It think its the best game for the PS2 besides Resident Evil! The game has some awesome songs including free bird! Although your fingers might hurt after playing free bird. I dont think there is any problem with lyrics because they edited it. There is also nothing wrong with any devil-related issues.

a game kids and adults can enjoy

This is one of the games that kids and parents can play and have the same amount of funwith each other. CSM said there was inneundo in the lyrics but you can hardly hear the lyrics because when you play the guitar, the noises are louder than anything else. This game is so much fun and I really now acknowledge the guitarists in rock bands because I never really noticed how hard it is and how good they play in rock songs. Of course parents may not like seeing kids playing this only because they is a lot of rebellion but what do you expect because that's rock and roll.

Guitar Hero, Great Hand-Eye Coordination Game.

Guitar Hero II doesn't have MUCH cursing, however, when they do curse, he/she won't even notice it. They will be focusing on the notes. It has bleeped out words, Shout At the Devil and frequent uses of "damn". However, they have to read that. Great challenging in multiplayer, including cooperative. Most likely for tweens and teens. One thumb up, four stars.
