Parents need to know that this is a free-to-play online Flash-based game, sponsored by the History Channel, which was released in conjunction with the Jurassic Fight Club television show. The game features a small selection of dinosaurs which are discussed in the series, and permits you to control one of them as they fight other dinosaurs. The game reflects the violent nature of these giant reptiles, so expect blood and intense battles. Since this is an online game, it is not rated by the ESRB; but given the amount of blood shown and your involvement in making it happen, this is a game best played by kids 12 and older.

What’s the Story?
JURASSIC FIGHT CLUB GAME: TURF WARS is a simple fighting game between dinosaurs that the History Channel has loaded onto their website in conjunction with the release of their TV show Jurassic Fight Club. Aside from the obvious cross promotional aspect, the game is a good way for teens and adults interested in dinosaurs to have some level of interactivity with the show that they just watched. Unlike the show, where you simply watch what some scientists think might have happen when two species of dinosaurs fought, here you get to control one of the dinosaurs during a battle.
After making a selection of one of six types of dinosaurs featured in the TV show, you face off against the remaining types one after another in a fight to the death. The controls are easy to use with the arrow keys set to move your dinosaur around and the 'Z' button used to perform the attacks. However executing some of the unique attacks that each beast has can be tricky, especially in the heat of battle due to the combination of keys to press. As you progress through the challenges and perform well, you may unlock cheat codes which can be entered in the game while playing to give your dinosaur additional advantages. Plus, additionally cheat codes can be found online.
CloseIs It Any Good?
Since many young children love dinosaurs, parents need to know that this game is quite violent and it shows a lot of blood. It isn't for them. Rather, its for older tweens and teens who are enthusiastic paleontologists-to-be. For them, since these creatures were violent, the depiction of intense battles shouldn't be disturbing. Battling as a dinosaur will probably teach them a little about how these creatures survived in their environment. Close
