What’s the Story?

Reviewed by Kate Pavao

This game is very much like previous versions of Karaoke Revolution: Players croon along to popular tunes, scoring points for hitting the right notes. Choices in this installment range from Beyonce to Tony Bennett. The biggest change: With the addition of a dance pad, KARAOKE REVOLUTION PARTY players can strut their stuff while they sing.

There are Mini games (like getting characters to successfully stage-dive), lots of unlockables, cool ways to customize characters, and fun environments in which to perform, including a very trippy music video. Players can even use their Eye-Toy to check themselves out.

Is It Any Good?

Dancing while you sing is amazingly difficult to do, and quickly becomes a cardio workout. Players are advised to start dancing in easy mode and work up to the harder stuff.

This is a great title for parties and family gatherings over the holidays (up to eight players can participate). Just be careful not to trip on the headset cord in the middle of a performance -- that's not a very glamorous move, and it's sort of easy to do.
