This is definitely my favorite video game of all time. There are parts that are a little creepier than in the first two installments, but it's actually easier game-play wise. Honestly I think it's a lot better in ALL aspects of the game, just just the graphics and the playability. There are a lot more mini-games and you actually get to see King Mickey for the first time! I Recommend it to anyone who likes playing games like these, especially fans of previous Square Enix titles.

The most original game in history.
After following best game ever Kingdom Hearts it raises teh bar higher and get every single sound and graphics design down. It puts you in a magical and some intense moments throughout. This game is better than any Final Fantasy and is incredible. This is the best game and most original I have ever played. It may be hard for anyone under the age of 12 though.

Other adults know nothing!
Let me first start this off by saying that this game is by far in my top 5 for best games out there. Before you play this game be sure to play chain of memories (kingdom hearts 1.5) but if you don't it really doesn't matter, but it would help because they make some reference and it is where Organization XIII comes in. But as i was reading other "Adult" Reviews it seems like they know nothing, everything that happens in this game in the most part takes place in that Disney movie. It's not slitting the wrist its a slight cut on the palm to lift a curse and its barley a problem of blood, its just half of a gold amulet tinted red. If you watched the Disney moves you have seen all these "violent" scenes. If you let your kids watch Disney movies i say that you should buy this game for your kids, but don't forget to get them first Kingdom Hearts I, and Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories.

Enjoyed Greatly!
I may be a little old to be playing this game, but after the first, I knew I had to play this. After reading many reviews, I find that some of the parents are reviewing a little harshly. To begin with, there is no wrist cutting, as they barely cut the palm of Ms. Swan from Pirates of the Caribbean. As for the lions death, that was in Lion King, and has been watched by kids as young as 4. Also, it is true one boy falls from a tower, but it is NEVER shown that he hits the ground. -Spoiler Alert- In fact, his whole reality is a fake, so whether he hit the ground or not, would not have mattered anyway. The violence is non-bloody, and over all very mild compared to other games. I would recommend this game, and it's predecessor to any child able to play a video game.

Kingdom Hearts II
Sexual Content (Not an Issue): Some skimpy outfits. Violence (Pause): Intense battle scenes, some blood. Language (Not an Issue): None. Social Behavior (On): The characters are loyal, kind, and demonstrate such qualities throughout. Commercialism (Pause): Almost every character in the game is from a Final Fantasy game or a Disney movie. Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco (Pause): Pirates drink rum. Educational Value (Not an Issue): None.

Phenominal Series
This game This game series is absolutely amazing. It has a wonderful storyline, and has a great lesson on friendship. It has plenty of battles, and has its share of Final-Fantasy-like moments, and great cutscene. It also has the best Graphics that I have yet seen on the PS2. It has left me quivering in anticipation for the next one. Though it is not as good as the first, it comes very close. There were even a few moments so powerful I got chills. That is very rare to find in a game like this. If you think these games are childish, think again. In fact, I don't think children should be playing this game. This is more of a preteen-teen game. Don't let the fact that it has Disney characters fool you. Square-Enix made this game, and they are known for fantastic games, being most famous for the Final Fantasy Series. It is a very strong game emotionally, and the light and dark are clearly defined. The main character is a fifteen year old boy that is pure of heart and always stays true to the light he believes in. Absolutely a phenomenal series.

Iffy game....downright awful compared to the first, but not as bad as some.
KH2 was a major disappointed compared to the first. My kids were in love with the first game, and I was too because i knew that they could play a very fun game that had cartoonish violence in it. I bought them this game, because we all loved the story and gameplay from the first, and 3 of my kids, and I didn't really like this game. My eldest son (12) thought it was average but not on par with KH1. The violence in this game is the main issue. They battles are too intense for the younger kids, and for some reason, Disney gave us some PG-13 material in a PG series. There is decapitation, murder, kidnapping, slitting of wrists, beating up, threatening, people falling off towers, etc, in this game. There is more innuendo in this game, but not much. Characters wear tight, short fitting, revealing clothing. Overall, I would say 13+ for this sequel, but my family doesn't recommend this almost stinker to anyone who wasn't in LOVE with KH1.

Almost garbage of a game, that is extremely violent!
The first Kingdom Hearts was a very good game, heck, it was a masterpiece. This is a sequel that belongs in ther garbage! The reason it got a 2 is because there are many references to final fantasy (best series) and graphics are beautiful. This game is extremely heavy on violence for a E10+!!! Battles are very intense and you are constantly slashing a dicing up enemies and stealing their hearts. A girl gets her wrists cut open so blood can lift a curse, a man threatens to shoot himself in the head, constant references to death, people want little monsters to kill everyone in the world, a giant hydra has its head sliced right off (completely shown), a boy tries to kill a person about 20 times but fails every time, references to kidnapping, use of the word bloody murderer, an older lion kills a young lions father, a lion falls off a cliff and shown fall to the ground, a rock is smashed on someones head nearly killing them, 1000 monsters act in a war-like manner trying to kill one person, slapping, punching, characters shoot you with guns, maNY enemies shoot fire at you to burn you, enemies burn down villages killing everyone, a man is caught in a avalanche and is shown getting covered and choking in snow, many explosions on your gummi ship, young teens whack each other in training, a character falls off a building and is shown falling and hitting the ground (no death), a character is shown getting attacked by enemies and then collapsing to the ground (implying death) and much more! I say 15+!

SquareEnix does it again!
Once again Sora, Donald, and Goofy take off on a fun and challenging adventure to Disney worlds, meeting old and new friends, and defeating Heartless and bad guys along the way. From a musical adventure through Atlantica to saving Disney Castle from evil forces, there is certainly a lot more in this game than previous installments. Seasoned RPG gamers may get frustrated at how straight forward it is (AKA Sora directing you from one place to another, rather than being able to explore before encountering events and bosses) but will otherwise enjoy how more mature the game has become since the original. Even though it has matured, it still has that youthful feel to it, the battles are bloodless and fun, and the game still retains a bit of childish cuteness (such as Sora's adorable infatuatin with meeting Santa Claus while in Halloween Town). This is certainly a must have for those curious about the game, newcomers to the genre of RPGs, or old fans of the series.

Parents, Jeez.
Ok, Everybody's giving this game a bad rap. But, there's nothing too bad in it. Violence: Battles that are itense BUT not bloody, A girl's palm is cut, not her wrist, it's kingdom hearts, not "emo-time". Alcohol: pirates are drinking..for like three seconds. Sex: some tight outfits, Sora makes a slightly crude joke. Language: None atoll. Advertising: Final fantasy, disney, but are you gonna get mad because your kid's playing a game that has simba in it? I'm fourteen and I say anyone 10+ is old enough to play.

Great for Kids 8+
Love this game! It is awesome for Disney obsessed kids. Really fun game. Parents: If your child takes things literary, you might want to look at the game before you buy it. Other than that along with the drinking in Port Royal but you can't tell what it is (Looks like grape juice) You are goo.

Perfect For 8+ and parents SHUT UP
Seriously the adults need to get a head on their shoulders and think through this. The game is based off of Disney Movies which I have seen the Lion King and Pirates of the Caribbean has barely any blood. I'm Just Ticked that the parents say such crap about a game that is truly age appropriate. Think about it. Remember:Just because their is blood doesn't mean its horrific.

Great game for all ages!
Although I'm one of the games younger fans, I find it to be a harmless game. The blood mentioned in the review is from the Pirates of The Caribbeans world in wich a drop of blood is placed on a coin and put into a box, NOT from fighting. The Drinking is from one prirate who demonstrates that he is a gost by drinking from a jar and having the contents fall to the ground, it may very well have been water! And violence is not an issue. When defeated, enemies vanish in a puff of smoke. The game is overall easy, but some younger players might get mad at a difficult boss named sephiroth although defeating him is not necessary for beating the game.

Great game!
This has a really nice message of staying on track to find those who you want most. It has a wonderful storyline, and it has the all-time Disney movies. It has great characters, including Organization XIII, Disney characters and the lead characters, Sora, Riku, and Kairi. I've played this game over and over again, and it still makes me cry. The storyline is kind of hard to get a grip on but once you get it, you love it. Play it today! I love it!

Awsome game, it's on my Top Five Favorites.
Bloodless, compelling, and very involving. The game focuses (as with most other games) on the battle between light and dark- good and bad. The strange, but all too awsome blend of Final Fantasy and Disney, makes the game, funny and action packed. THINGS PARENTS SHOULD WORRY ABOUT. The game has lots of Disney like magic- as well as some unexplainable supernatral things that happen. The violence in the game is fighting mostly abstract enemies with a strange wepeon called a Keyblade. (There are other wepeons wielded by other characters such as, swords, ninja stars, ex.) The time it takes (took me well over 30 hours), and how involved your child may get in the game should be a concern. For those of you who looked at the E10 rating and blood and alcohol reference, let me assure you that both these are very minimum. Blood- Pirates of the Carribean, cutscene where a bloody coin is being dropped to lift the curse (just like in the movie). Alcohol Reference- Again, Pirates of the Carribean, Jack Sparrow talking about rum.

AWESOMENESS!!!
AMAZING story, AMAZING action, AMAZING fun! The only REAL violence is in the Pirate world, which has a little bit of blood in it, but still fun for all ages.

Great Game
Kingdom Hearts is one of my favorite games! They fight in the game. wow . Almost every game does that now. And all the pirates do is say fetch the rum. I really do not think it is that bad, because all they do is say it.

Unbelievably good.
I got this game and from only three minutes, I knew it was good. The game is from Japan and is twice as long as the original Kingdom Hearts. The only thing I have trouble with is that it won't strike really well in the start of gameplay with worlds like Beasts castle for Beauty and the beast and Mulan, the Land of dragons. Don't try me in Little mermaid. Yet I enjoy even those places. A must have for anyone 10+ who likes action and long gameplay.

Great!
I absolutely LOVED this game! I don't feel like the violence is THAT much of an issue. There is a lot of fighting, but nothing too bad. I'm kind of upset at the ratings some adults gave this game. The only blood in the game was taken from the Disney movie: Pirates of the Carribean. The alchohol is very mild, and I only noticed it one time in the game. I don't know if there was any more. The violence wasn't that bad. The storyline did have me a little confused, and I had to restart on some boss battles, but overall this game is great!

The greatest game ever made...
except for KH 1. There should seriously be no big issue with violence here. You fight heartless who are defeated and disappear into thin air. This game is one of the best games ever created and everyone should play it. Absolutely Incredible.

A must play game for Final Fantasy and Disney fans!
I absolutely loved this game! The first Kingdom Hearts game was my first game ever and I loved it so when the sequel came out, I had to buy it. The graphics were stunning, the characters complex and three dimensional, and the gameplay awesome. It was very good for relieving stress from school! :)

Great everything!
Its a great game. The blood and alcohol is not that viewable, unless you concentrate on it. Its mild fighting, fighting Heartless and Nobodys to save the world... Its great for me. Its really cool because you got new clothes that can do drive power.

An Amazing Game!
An amazing game with great graphics. There is really nothing I would consider bad, other than maybe a few pirates who drink. Even that isn't really a big deal.

Great game
The adult reviews are really making me mad. This game is not garbage and it is not bad. So there is some violence, but all of it is cartoons and fantasy creaatures. There is blood, but you can't even see it unless you are actually faocusing and trying to find it. I say this game should be for 9 and up.

Contrasting to a_rayment
Many of the complaints this user gave were from Disney Titles and are over exaggerated. The references are to Pirates of the Carribean (Recall Elizabeth Swann having to get something the size of a papercut over the chest of Cortez? Not exactly Emo-cutting going on...) Also, Lion King where Scar kills Mufasa, which most children 6+ have seen. Kingdom Hearts is very entertaining, and a very nice sequel to the game (even after following Chain of Memories). It is a must-have for anyone who played the First Game.

sweetish fish
Is games is just plainly a great game all around. great story line, great graphics. And it has a small love tale in it. but the love tale is not like a adult love tale but for kids. just plainly, you need this game. with me the game, its the next best thing from the bible.
