In NBA LIVE 2004, players now have the ability to easily maneuver every player on the court, including defensive players. No longer will the point guard be able to slash to the basket uncontested for an easy layup.
A variety of easy-to-learn game modes are available, making it great for even the youngest players. If you are new to the game, start in practice mode. The slower beginner mode allows players to learn all of the skills they will need when they take on the big boys in more advanced play modes.
Is it any good?
Like most EA titles, the game is realistic -- right down to the authentic NBA jerseys. That may be the only potential negative, as this game will bring hours of gaming fun for children ages 6 and up.
You can't go wrong with this fast-paced, easy-to-learn gaming experience. Unless you consider thundering dunks violent, this game is a great choice for younger audiences.
How to play
- Playability: Very easy to learn. Even the youngest players will have the simple functions down in minutes. Freestyle play will take just a bit longer to master.
- Reading Required: NA
- Graphics: Excellent.
