the game is fun and well made. boys will probably start getting intrested in mario when they are 4 or 5 but i do not recomend getting them the game at that age wate till there atleast 6. and girls (if they like video games) will probably start getting intrested in it at the age of 8,7, or maybe 6 at which time the game is age apropreat. also note that there is vilonce but saftey will never be an issue and that the game will be easy to play if your child is 6 or older.

Captivated til I took it away :)
My three year old son recently got a Nintendo DS and absolutely loves Super Mario Bros!! It so sad because he is better at it than I am!! When he gets stuck at one of bowsers castles he may ask for my help, but after seeing my kill off poor Mario, he says "That's ok, you just have to try again..." followed by "hey, I know what I'm doing now, give it back." I'm amazed at how good he is at this game for his age!

I loved this game when I was 7 or 8. I beat all the levels though, and I never played it again. Great game though. Loved it!!! 6+, but it depends how smart your kid is, and what he's able to do with his or her hands!

quite disappointing actually
I went into gamestop ready to get a new ds game, and decided on New Super Mario Bros. It's a good thing you can trade it back in a week! So painfully easy I beat it in less than five hours! Unless you are one to be forever obsessed with bad minigames, you should not get this game.

A Fun Game 4 Everyone!!!!!!
New super is packed with many levels, and tons of games. It's assured for hours of fun. I'm not a great gamer so it was kinda hard for me. (That's why I gave it 4 stars). There is a little bit of violence. To get rid of your enemies you need to bounce on them,and, when you beat Bowser, he falls into a pit of lava. I don't know about you but, I think this game is great!

Outstanding
These days children watch too inappropriate content just because they think adults like it- in reality, or at least with the people I know, never really enjoy stuff FOR sexuality, violence, drugs, profanity, etc. Now, this is a game thats just as good as halo or something without the need of anything too bad. Some mild violence (jumping on enemies or use fireballs) and nothing other than that bad.

The Most Addicting Game I Ever Found...
Okay, so I go to the store and I want a new game? So what did I get? New Super Mario Bros. of course! And with this brief look at the game I was NOT disappointed at the game. The graphics and gameplay were simply terrific. The only problem is that it's all over too long. However, even now I am still playing whilst other games like Nintendogs sit gathering dust on the shelves. The mini-games are simply cute and I love the game 'Wanted!' Overall this is a game everyone should own.

Pretty cool game
I have this game, and it's one of the best games for DS. It has a lot of levels and is very challenging, which I like. Also, it has a lot of minigames when you don't want to play the actual game. My favorite thing about the game is 2-Player. I play this all the time with my friends.
