What’s the Story?

If your child has fallen in love with WALL-E (and who hasn't?), WALL-E for the Leapster is the go-to game if your fan is between 4 to 7 years of age. The console version of the game is just too challenging for this young age. Kids help WALL-E find cool human gadgets by playing five educational games.

In one game, while kids star-gaze with WALL-E, they practice number identification, addition, and subtraction to find star patterns in the sky. Then they connect the stars to learn about famous constellations. In another activity, they will sort recycled garbage by tapping on groups of two or more same-colored trash cubes to clear a grid. Kids will also learn to mirror patterns in an activity about making pictures out of recycled garbage cubes. The remaining games focus on letter recognition, spelling skills, and planetary facts, and all can be played on three levels of difficulty. In addition, kids will learn facts about space and recycling as they play with WALL-E.

These games are easy to play, and the educational content is age-appropriate. The visuals on this system do a great job of capturing the charming WALL-E, so kids will love watching his antics.
