does it matter if kids know stuff and play it anyways????
i think the game should be for ages 10 and up because now a days more and more kids are learning about sexual stuff,so id let kids 10 and up play it as long as the parents ask us what we know about sexual stuff,violence,etc....

Perfect for older kids, but not for tweens
This is honestly one of the most fun games I've ever played.Who the Renaissance could be so much fun? Assassin's creed 2 is a great game that is surprisingly historically accurate and can be highly educational, and your kids will probably pay attention since half the time it's required. The gameplay can be complicated at first, but it becomes really easy over time. However, the Violence is something to keep an eye out for if you have kids 12 and below. It doesn't get more "midevil" than this. Sexual stuff isn't bad, when it does appear it's quite brief. Ezio Auditore is somewhat of a good protagonist. "I only hurt those who hurt others", but that doesn't mean you should grab a knife and start killing corrupt officials. He IS an Assassin, after all. All in all, Assassin's creed 2 is a great game, and can be a great learning experience.

Fun game that may not be so fun for parents.
Nothing an intelligent 12 or 13 year old can't handle. You have to be ok with blood. There is a lot. Much more than the first one. It spews out when you assassinate someone. Also some of the moves are jaw dropping. I would look it up on youtube. Top ten kills in Assassin's Creed 2. There is also sexual content. One of the people you work with is a women up for hire, if you get my meaning, wearing a nun's habit. And during one of the cutscenes your character touches her breasts. Not nudity though. Never at any time do they show a women's, for lack of a better word, t**s. They do have a cutscene where you have a "sleepover" at your girlfriends house. In the morning, her father catches you and sends the gaurds after you. There is also girls up for sale through out the game. You can hire them, but not in the way you think. They are just use to distract gaurds. They wear clothes that shows cleavage. When you use them to distract gaurds, they stand in front of the gaurds provactively and say phrases like, "Oops! I think something fell down the front of my dress!" The gaurds then stand in front of them and waves their fists and jeer. To get a better idea of what I mean, go to youtube and type ways to distract gaurds in assassins creed 2 (you might have to do a little digging). The language can get a little colourful at times. Your main character's friend drops the F-bomb all the time (this is in the present). In the past, people say ba***do, italian for a kid without a father, and holy s**t and d**n. There is a few refrences to alchol. Whenever you are climbing people say stuff like. "Holy s**t! Its a drunk man!" and "He must have been drinking the good stuff." This is also one of the best games I ever played. If your kid knows whats bad and whats good in real life, and if he is over 13, I'd let him get it. hope it helps!

A fun game for all teens, but not for kids.
I have it, I got it for christmas, and completed it, but it lasted a while, it's a hard long lasting game. It's a fun game, with addicting and exciting missions. The story is good, but it is all elvolved around revenge. The language is mostly used at the beginning, where you hear a few f**ks, and there is a lot of Italion swearing if translated can be m*****f**ker. You can counter, where you can kill with style. Once i stabbed someone in the neck and blood splattered out. Nearly every kill there is blood. Ezio takes off a womens clothes which fall to the ground. You don't see it, but they clearly have sex. All in all, a good game, but inapropiate for some.

Kids CAN handle this!!
some what educational, yet more of fiction. Although rated M, you have to trust your children. They CAN handle this. This is the only M game I have and it is just the kind of thing kids my age find interesting and fun. Give your child a chance. experiment with it. if you notice a negative change, take it away, but hear my plead: Kids CAN handle this stuff!

Great game, but a bit mature
This game is a bit more inappropriate than the first, with it's message of vengeance in the form of killing, its strong use of language, and one sexual scene. However, there is no nudity, and blood can be turned off at the player's desire. Also, the 'sex scene' is very short and not very revealing at all. Otherwise, it is a beautiful game in terms of graphics, and, I think, fairly educational, because it depicts real historical figures, architecture, and the renaissance period in Italy. The game-play is addicting and quite easy, and I think that any child over 14, so long as he or she is mature enough to realize the message of this game is immoral, should be allowed to play this game.

Ac is for kids to!
Overall, this game is mostly appropriate for kids 11 plus. The only real issue with it is that in the beginning of the game, one of the characters says the f word a couple times, but once you get into the open world of Italy, no more language occurs. A feature my parents thought was cool was that you could turn all the blood off. I keep the blood on only because I play Call of Duty and that has way more blood than AC. Parents should agree that the game is sort of educational though because it includes major figures from the Renaissance, including Da Vinci and Machiavelli, and are portrayed in a fictional story line. The architecture is also wuite beautiful and very accurate. Hope this helps.

A great, safe game if special conditions are applied
Assassin's Creed can be a little bit mature at times, but is nonetheless a very well done game, and there is a way around almost all of the bad content. Language: This was really the main thing that bugs me about the game. UbiSoft really put a lot of it in there. But there is a common solution. Turn off the stinkin' volume! And either way, the usually swear in Italian, so yeah, turn off the subtitles. Blood: Ah, HERE we are, the one that every M rated game seems to have. This is easier to solve than language. You simply pause your game, go options, go to general, and there is a blood on-off. (For those of you who wonder, I've also seen this in most Call of Duty games, and it also turns of the language.) Sex: This one really worried me at first. No matter how fun a game is, I never play something with too much sex involved. But you know what? All it is is seeing a back for 15 seconds, which you don't even have to do! It's part of a minigame, that you don't have to do. All in all, the sex is nothing you don't see in the average PG-13 movie. Violence: Yeah... There's no real way to turn off violence. You can minimize the amount of violence by simply not engaging in anything unless it's a mission, but it can be hard and is a big part of the game. But frankly, I have seen far worse games, such as even Call of Duty. It's bad, but not as bad as the average first person shooter. Alcoholic Reference: There's not really a way to turn this off either, except for doing the same thing as language, turning off the volume. Not even that bad anyway. Game Difficulty: Assassin's Creed, not just this game, but all soon to be four, are really hard games to get at first. But once you really get into them, (Which I guarantee, you will.) These games really aren't too difficult.

Much more mature than the first one
Though this may have slightly less blood than the first one, it is more mature in every other way. The actual violence seems more graphic, there is a ton of swearing throughout (in both Italian and English), and quite a few sexual references. Even though they refer to a "undressing mini-game" in the review above, it is really just a brief cut scene where it tells you to press a button, and the cut scene gives allusion to sex, but is very toned down. Even though the box says "Sexual Content" and AC: Brotherhood (The sequel/expansion) says "Sexual Themes", Brotherhood is actually worse. You can hire prostitutes in the game, but not in the way you think. They will distract guards for you so you can get by unseen. Note: There are real paintings in the game that include nudity, but its just like you went to an art museum or something, its not supposed to be sexual at all. As with the first this game actually teaches you a lot about Italy in that time period, and the story is amazing, reminds me of a Dan Brown (DaVinci Code) book; controversial stuff, but an absolutely amazing story.

Alright, first of all, this website is run by a bunch of bible-thumping soccor-moms. If it is rated M, they immediately stamp it as NOT FOR KIDS. Now, just because I'm a teen doesn't mean you should ignore me, this is an important message. Assassin's Creed II is a rare game. It combines learning with exceedingly high-quality game. It is arguably more violent than it's predecessor, AC1, but it retains the option to run away, and now you can just beat the snot out of enemies opposed to dislocating their spine, which is always a plus. All in all, great for teens of specified age, but onlyy make exception's if your child is mature enough.

11+
It is not that bad for kids 11+ the violence is nothing more then a game like Fable 3 , Prince of Persia , Two Worlds. Everybody is treating this like ''One of the most violent games'' but really it is probably the least violent M game there is. The language is not too bad and the strong language is very occasional. This game is probably the best game in terms of offline games.

Good for teenagers
While there isn't any nudity or sex, it is implied and there is some innuendo. It is pretty gory, but the blood looks very fake and you can always turn the blood off if you want to. There is a good deal of foul language in the game, but nothing that your child won't hear in the movies, read in books, and hear at school. There is some profanity in Italian, but as long as subtitles are turned off, he/she won't know what they're saying. It is somewhat educational. The game takes place in Renaissance Italy and there are some historical characters such as Leonardo da Vinci and Lorenzo De Medici in the game. Overall, I think that the game is relatively clean and is okay for children ages 13 and up.

Cut the game a break
This game is awesome. Super fun, I have no problem with the blood, you can turn the blood off in the options menu. Swearing is not that bad, if it gets to bad pause the game send the kids out and parents just mute the game, and let the cutsene end.

Its an amazing game
Commonsense makes no sense there is no sexual content. In 1 scene the main character Ezio undresses a woman and you only see the back of her head and part of her back and than it goes black.
