The graphics are breathtaking and combat is tight as well, although the game has blood, it isnt very noticeable at all, blood doesnt stay on bodies and there isnt dismemberment. The only thing innapropriate is the frequent swearing ("Sh*t" "Son of a b*tch") and the sexual references and names ("Sl*t" "Wh*re"). Otherwise, a minor issue is the fact that the two controllable characters are basically outlaws who kill many enemies (cant harm innocents) and even murder a US marshall. Very educational, you fight as a confederate soldier and explore mexico and the south of the US. Some historical information during mission loading such as a brief description of some of the battles of the Civil War.
I know the positive messages part looks a little odd, but it will make sense if you play the game to the end, where character A becomes a priest after character C sacrifices himself to prevent character A from killing character B. hope that didn't give too much away. most of the characters are scumbags, murderers and thieves but the third brother balances out the other 2. the game emphasizes loyalty to family and tells a story of two brothers who come very close to tearing that bond apart. even the title "bound in blood" is proof of this. violence is bloody but certainly not nearly as graphic as other M rated fps games. as far as sexual content goes, it is fairly prevalent but isn't any worse than what you might find in a PG-13 movie and is limited strictly to dialogue. it is probably fine for kids 15 and up. the game itself is fantastic and tells an amazing wild west tale.
This is a cowboy game. Its not that violent, It has guns. Woah, this is a game that is alright for early teens and it doesn't look as bad as it sounds. You shoot someone and they drop down to the floor with a little bit of blood. The sexual content is moderate too, Even though a lot is sexual orientation. The language is quite high for a normal game. Drugs and drinking are included, But not bad at all.
Call Of Juarez: Bound in Blood is as good, if not better than the First
Call Of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a Prequel to the Original (Call Of Juarez). You can play as either Ray or his brother Thomas (There's also another brother named William but he's just an NPC). The story takes place during and after the Civil War. Throughout the game you'll find yourself in various different environments ranging from the Deserts to Forests. Every environment has an extraordinary amount of detail, there are running streams, swaying grass, butterflies and birds flying around, and even a few cattle. Overall the graphics hold up to the Xbox 360s (Or Ps3s) standards. During your journey through the game you'll kill hundreds upon hundreds of enemies (Cowboys, Mexican Bandits, Indians, Union Soldiers etc..) deaths are primarily bloodless except for a minor "Spray" when shot. Language ranges from "D*mn" all the way to the "F-Bomb"(Although characters seem to prefer the term "Sum'Bi*ch"). A few Unsavory references are scattered throughout (i.e. "I wouldn't want a snake to climb up that skirt" "How big is the snake"...Odd...But..Whatever floats your boat). Online play adds to the experience because it has a variety of different gameplay modes and character classes that you need to unlock by earning money from multiplayer games. Call Of Juarez Overall is a great game I strongly recommend playing through, especially if you're a fan of the genre.
There is a difference between a good parent and a bad parent.I'm not a bad parent because I let my kids watch violent shows and play violent video games. This game is amazing. The first one was good but this game is better.See teach your kid the relisem from real life and a video game and they will not be ifluenced by violence. The story is alright.Controlls are like the easiest thing you can get in this game. The online is pretty good and it's a pretty basic online shooter. This is the game to own right now.
The gameplay is pretty easy to grasp onto, i have the 360 version so...gameplay is pretty nice, graphics are superb, the violence is actually pretty tame for a game with a "Mature" rating, there are sexual references, as mentioned by commonsense as well as a kiss..not that big a deal. This game does contain a lot of "profane" language though..i haven't played through the whole game yet, but it appears as if "S**t" "A**" and "sum b**ch" are the characters favorites. I got the feeling the story revolved around the two main characters(Ray and Thomas) and their lives as outlaws as well as their romantic whatever you wanna call them...soo i say parents main concern should be the violence and language, and the references to sex aren't too hard to pick up on...overall this game should keep you occupied for awhile, the story is engaging, the game runs smooth and looks beautiful and the online suffers little to none graphics and gameplay wise.
