sure there is some violence but who could make a better role model that the cole train? WHOOOO!!!

This game is very fun, but it is pretty intense. When I find a dead body of one of the COG's, there is blood splattered everywhere. And the language is pretty foul. I only heard the f-word like twice and there is an occasional s-word and d-word with there alternatives. Also there is an in-game filter where you can turn of the gore and language.

Great 3rd person shooter. It's not that hard to play, but don't make it your first shooter. The language includes the F word, S word, and other smaller profanities.

This game is bloodier than Gears of War 2 but not any gorier. If you played Gears of War 2 you might notice that there is a filter for both language and gore. But in gears of war you filter both. The game is a bit harder than gears of war 2 and gets frustrating at times but it is still a great game.

I love "Gears of war" i think only kids of the age of 11 or older should play it. I am an 11 year old so why do you ask that i think kids of 11 or older should play "Gears of war" because i have sisters that i don't like playing it because they cry around when they die.

Great Game for its time.. Violence is pretty fake against aliens but very bloody.. Language can be harsh at times but not to bad.. Overall a very good game, I played and beat it and its fine for ANYONE 13+ Only.

Set in the apocalyptic ruins of human society, the futuristic "Gears" soldiers are tasked with ridding the Earth of the Locust Horde. The horde is bloody, strong, and smart. The enemies are difficult to take down, and small squad tactics are essential. Rolls, SWAT turns, and more can be used to give you the advantage. Futuristic human weapons or brutal human weapon spinoffs from the Locusts can be used. Your main weapon, the Lancer Assault Rife is your best friend. The weapons are diverse, the levels hard. The bad part: ridiculous gore. I almost threw up the first time I played. Enemies are torn to pieces by gunfire and lie in bloody, disfigured piles. Gore is all over. There even is an attached chainsaw on the Lancer for close quarters. Personally, I don't recommend it for its unreliability, but upon use, your enemies has muscle spasms while being ripped apart. There is a filter, but you better be prepared. Good game if you can take it.
