Kid reviews for Harvest Moon 3D: A New Beginning

I suppose that many things will go over the heads of children, but there are some questionable things in here, which I will list: Firstly, there is a "random event" where two women compare their breast sizes (arguing whether it is better to be "glamorous or slender"). The terms "voluptuous" and "sagging" are used, but as a child, I never noticed this. Secondly, men occasionally make suggestive remarks, (especially Allen). If you are dating a few of them and wear their favourite dress, sometimes they will comment on you "showing too much leg". Allen often "teases" you about whether you want a kiss or not (even when you're married to someone else!) and if you are dating/married, he promises you that you'll have an "amazing time tonight" with him. For a specific quote, on your birthday, he says that he will "whisper all the sweet things you want to hear tonight". Thirdly, a marriage candidate, Michelle, seems like an over-bubbly, pink-loving magician, which may deter most young boys. However, if you are a male character and look deeper into her character, she actually is a manipulative liar who has a fake "mask" in order to woo men and get valuable gems (or chocolate pudding)! She then tells you that this is her real self and that you can't change her, asking whether you accepted her or not. This has troubled some younger players on forums and caused them to go through the arduous process of breaking up with Michelle. Otherwise, this is an amazing game with excellent gameplay and above average graphics. I highly recommend this to people of all ages.

Out of the harvest moon series this is one of my favourites, it is great fun and develops the characters very well, however this farming simulation game can be slow paced with story and unlocking new features; which is why I think it would be best suited for people 9 and up, as it would be hard for a young child to be emersed in the story.

It has some learning because you learn how to take care of animals this way. You can also get married. Boys can marry: Felicity, Iroha, Yuri, Tina, Michelle or The Witch Princess. Girls can marry: Neil, Allen, Rod, Soseki, Sanjay and Amir. I'm currently married to Neil and expecting a child. Once you get married you build the child's bed and you trigger the pregnancy event. Eventually you give birth. The child goes through stages: Baby, Crawler, Child and Temporary Teenager. However, there are some sad parts. Breaking up. Your boyfriend/girlfriend may break up with you, and this triggers the breakup scene. Death. The farm animals you raise may die in the morning when you make up. Very sad music plays when this happened. In Harvest moon Grand bazzar, when this happened to my chicken, I CRIED. However, if you have a high bond with them or if you save before the death, it may survive the next morning. Stress. Animals can get stressed out if you hit them with tools, neglect them, or leave them out in snow storms, tycoons or rain. Once stress builds up you must give them medicine, or the death scene will trigger and they die. Pets (Cats, dogs horses) live forever I guess: They only get fat when stressed out.

This is a nice, easy to play game. It is possible to hit animals with tools, but not encouraged. You can also love and marry people. There is nothing graphic or inappropriate. This is an amazing game! You can take care of animals and raise crops. It is fun and super easy!
