InFamous is a great game that has a very good story and educational value. There is violence, but it is not graphic at all. No blood like the review from the site says. Fine for ages 12+. My neighbour who is nine years old and is scared by violent and bloody games enjoys watching me play it. The story helps you take over the role of a super-hero in a post-apocalyptic city who must help save the city from self-destruction and gang violence. It lets players play through his personal struggles with love, betrayal, and the pressure of having superpowers. He has to deal with things such as (SPOILER ALERT) the death of the love of his life, terrorist accusations, and trying to save everyone. It will teach your tweens/teens that with great power comes great responsability and struggles.

Great game. Perfect for almost any age.
I got this game recently and loved it. In the game, your character develops electric-based superpowers and is faced with decisions of right and wrong. after making a decision, your character is rewarded with "good karma" or "evil karma". Gaining karma in either good or evil unlocks new powers to be used. This means that if you decide to follow the "evil" pathway, you will gain more evil karma by hurting innocent citizens. However you gain good karma by healing injured citizens. There is little blood in the game, just red splotches on the edge of your screen when you get shot by the enemy. Similarly, language is somewhat common, but is usually not too strong (i.e. a*s, d*mn, and at worst b*tch) I would recommend this title for kids age 10 and up mainly because of the language. If you don't mind the language I believe it would be suitable for much younger. There is a difficulty setting that could make it easier for younger ages.

Great, yet sometimes violent and suggestive
Infamous is a great game, and it really isn't all that bad. Comic book cutscenes can sometimes be graphic, but the worst images (civilians impaled on flying debris, bloody mass shootings) are fleeting. A boss named sasha is dressed revealingly and makes sexual comments when you attack her. Other than these two issues, this game is fairly appropriate for teens 13+.

Famous or Infamous
i and my brother love this game it is a mix of sandbox action and shotting all in one game this is worth the $60 (some best buys are selling it for $10 in honor of infamous 2)cole can be a good role model at some parts (if you are the hero) nothing bad about it

Great game!
Very good, the fight with Sasha was a bit suggestive, but nothing overboard. Kind of repetitive, but the building up of powers and enemies keeps you interested. Can't wait for number 2!

My friend has told me numerous times this game is worse than Halo. He may be right, becuse let me tell you it is full of violence. Cole dosn't ever shy from killing and the character can kill innocents whenever they want to. But if you're good you can heal citizens and when you fight enimies people throw stones at them. Also in cutscenes there is lots of comic style violence as well as language: in the first cutscene alone they say the s--t 3 times.

If you haven't played Infamous your missing out on one of the best games of all time. You play as Cole, after a huge blast that levels tons of the city you gain electrical superpowers and can choose to save the city, or be their reaper. There is quite a bit of swearing but it's nothing you don't hear numurous times over and over again in middle school (yes, I do go to middle school). If you're concerned about the messages note that if you have you're kid play as good is gives off good messages, the city comes back to life, people love you, you get back in contact with your girlfriend, and you get you're own set of unique powers. On the other hand... if you play as evil many civilians are going to be killed and Cole just views them as weaklings that he owes nothing too. Also if you play as evil it can induce bad themes such as: killing civilians is fun, use power to get what you want, do what benifits YOU and let others fend for themselves. But if you have a mature kid this shouldn't matter. It's a GAME as should be viewed as such. But other than that this game absulutly delivers, zapping the gangs that control the city could be a good message, Cole tries to get rid of the evil gangs that kill people... but to do so involves killing the gangs. I'm a tween and this game is just fine. Pick it up if you can, if not you're missing out on a gaming legend.

Nope!
I really wanted to like this game becuase of the cool ability to go anywhere in the city, but, alas, there's way too much swearing! In the first 10 min. of the game there are probably 20ish uses of bad language. So I turned it off and started playing Little Big Planet. (It's also violent and i'm told somewhat racy).

Language brings it down
One character, called Sasha, is sexually obsessed with your player character, Cole, though she is mistaking him for another character, Kessler. She wears only a short jacket that lets you see a tiny bit of her nipples. As for language, it's strong and constant. "H-ll", "B-tch", "D-mn", and even a "Sh-t" all get in there. Hell is the worst offender at least 50 times is said.

An enjoyable super hero adventure
InFamous is a game for the PS3. You take control of average bike messenger Cole Macgrath as he discovers he's gained superpowers after opening an explosive package in the middle of Empire City. Following the explosion, The city's pretty much gone to the dogs and it's up to the players to save the city...if they choose to that is Messages: The game makes you think carefully about how you should use Cole's electrical powers. Every decision has its consequences. i.e Do you take on riot cops all by yourself, or do you trigger a riot and cause many innocent people to get injured in the process Violence: Cole has electrical powers which obviously shocks anything it hits. Many of the enemys tote guns, When Cole takes damage, you can see traces of blood on the screen. Also, If the player so desires, Cole can squander his electrical gift and hurt innocent people Sex: Cole's friend Zeke asks him to help him hook up with a girl he likes. A crazy woman named Sasha is obsessed with Cole and talks about how much she wants to get in his pants. Also, she's scantily clad. Language: Quite a lot. The worst offender being the S word Drinking, Drugs, Smoking: Cole and Zeke drink beer from time to time Overall, InFamous is must have for any PS3 owner. Aside from some questionable content and the fact you can abuse Cole's powers and use them for personal gain, this a great game for kids 12 and up.

Good game
The game is quite fun, but the theme is dark and gloomy. Over time, you can choose to be good or evil. If you are good, the environments brighten, but if you choose the dark side, the darkness will deepen.
