What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this game is very violent. Like in the Bond movies, your character has the ability to take on villains using any means necessary, including the use of firearms, hand-to-hand combat, and high-tech gadgetry that is specifically designed to injure your opposition. Due to the graphic violence, the game is not suitable for children under the age of 13.

  • Violence is the name of the game, as Bond shoots and physically punishes everyone in his path.
  • Fully automatic machine guns firing, bazookas blowing up airplanes and plenty of hand-to-hand combat make for a very violent game. Younger players might be frightened with the amount of violence.
  • Just like in the Bond movies, there is always a beautiful, scantily clad woman draped around James.

What's it about?

With JAMES BOND 007: EVERYTHING OR NOTHING, EA Games gives players an up-close and personal look at the fast-action lifestyle of secret agent James Bond. The game is set up like a Bond movie, where you perform a variety of challenging tasks before moving on to the next scene.

To play out the challenge of thinking and acting like Bond, players can engage in hand-to-hand fighting, using objects from game environments as weapons, as well as accessing guns and gadgets from the Q-lab. The use of firearms, which is just about impossible to resist considering the opposition is firing at Bond with an arsenal of ammunition, is the way to go in this game.

Is it any good?

Game features include a challenging single-player mode, two-player co-op missions, and four-player multiplayer arena modes, all set in third-person views and featuring multiple playable characters. With multiple ways to complete missions, the game can provide advanced players with hours of enjoyment.

The game will certainly provide the Bond fan with plenty of excitement. However, the amount of violence is a bit over the top. The game is rated Teen, and is not intended for younger audiences. You could play the game without using firearms, but they are brought to your attention on every screen, making them a very attractive option for players.

What families can talk about

Families can talk about the gadgets that Bond gets to use. Do you think they're realistic -- now or in the future? Which of his gadgets would you want for yourself? Why?

Fast-paced, lots of guns, options
This is a great game. The quantity of violence is definitely there, but the presentation is not overly gory or offensive. While Bond girls are a part of the story, they are in very few scenes. The focus is taking out the bad guys, and in some levels, driving.

Good game...
I felt stealthy. ;) Yes, there's violence, but its not that bloody-- its smarter, stealthier action than other games that just go on a rampage.
