Great for kids who can handle mild language and mild blood.
I love this game. This is perfect for kids who like shooters. PARENTS, there is blood. whenever somebody dies, there's always blood. But its about the same amount as a game like Call of Duty 4. This game also has some swearing. The worst word you will hear is sh*t. It's very mild though. Yeah, some limbs do fall off, but the game is just too dark/fast paced to notice it. I think this game should be rated T for Teen. Hopefully this review helped you. Thank you for reading.
First, this is a brilliant, co-op shooter. this is great to play in groups
yes i will ahve to admit, the dismemberment and blood would be a bit much, for children under 12 that is. the actual game play is quite tame, i was playing worse when i was 11 and I saw more violence on the tv back then.
the thing this website failed to inform you about is the games "low violence" mode, it reduces the blood and dissables the dismemberment, turning it into a very tame shooter.

This is a brilliant game and the rating the website has given it should, must be reconsidered using the low violence mode. and perhaps reviewed by a actual gamer?
Dissapointing. Not as gory as i thought it was going to be.
oh please common sense.parents, dont listen to common sense.its totally rubbish.not for kids?the violence looks so rubbishy and cheesy and the zombies looks so darn fake.even the resident evil series is more realistic.this isnt bad for kids.a 2 year old can play it.i have been playing violent games since i was 5 probably played every single game on the market this is soooooooooo cheesy.even mario puts it to shame.and theresthe good role models and positive messages.it teaches teamwork.
This is an awesome game if you get the chance buy IT!!!
This is an awesome game. It is quite bloody but no brutal violence. there is frequent inappropriate language. The one reason I rated this on for ages ten and up is because this game teaches you teamwork. Valve did a very good job with this game.
Beutiful game. If you have played any normal shooting game this shouldnt be too hard. Watch out for the tanks though! The game is pretty violent but there is only mutilation with the heavy weapons. The zombies are scary but you should be able to cope with that. Language isnt really an issue. Characters occasionaly say milder words like s*** and d***, but that doesnt happen as much when closed caption is off
Well, I've never played this game but I've seen enough vids and watched an entire walthrough on YouTube to understand that this game is pretty fun and addictive. It gives a good sense of teamwork and is VERY addictive. The language is a little much but it's nothing that you wouldn't hear in a PG-13 movie. The zombies are creepy but if your kids is pretty mature then they should handle it just fine.
Some language and blood, but should be fine for teens.
This game has a good storyline, although gameplay is little more than violence. There is blood and shooting, along with creatures that vomit on players. The amount of bad language isn't over the top, but they do take the Lord's name in vain. One thing the game does very well is a diverse range of characters to play as, including a woman.
This is not your normal zombie game. Firstly, it plays out like multiple movies. Secondly, it teaches teamwork. Thirdly, there's no major gore for the first one. The second one features spines showing through a sliced open back and other things relevant to that level of gore. The most in this game is limbs and heads blowing off. Overall: It's an absolutely amazing game! Then again, what else would you expect from valve?
This is a really fun game. If you like running around and slaughtering zombies, then you'll definitely enjoy it! I can only play it with my friends because I get too scared. I usually just hide in a corner and hack at any zombies that get too close. XD
love co-op zombie killing don't mind Gore? this game is for you.
A very good game, one I play with my friends alot. in the UK it is given an 18 rating, but here's how this really isn't the case:
- The violence is a big part of the game, but it's almost cartoony in nature, and you are always urged to keep moving forward, not focusing on the gore.
- This game has a low violence mode, which can easily be enabled and i would reccomend for gamers under 13
- the language isn't too bad. the 'F' word makes no appearance, and the language is only there to strengthen the tense atmosphere of the game
- there is a horror aspect to the game, which may put off younger gamers, or those who are easily scared, but you get used to it, and it means you can really enjoy this amazing game, which I have to add you can usually find at a very low price
This game is bloody, but its all fake. The heads and the arms flying are nothing they cant do with a ketchup bottle and a fake arm, and the language isnt anything a 5th grader hasnt used.
Okay. Left 4 dead. This is A zombie-apocalypse based sandbox shooter. You can Take lots of drugs like adrenaline, pain pills, etc, etc. You kill hoards of normal infected and special infected. the special infected have special skills for example, the witch is very powerful and can detect players if they don't turn off their flashlights at small distances. It can be really scary for children that are 10 and under. when i first played it I had trouble sleeping when i was done playing. It is pretty fine for kids like me 10 and up.
I don't actually own the game but I've played it a lot of times a friend's houses. It really isn't as bloody and gory as it seems. In fact you can turn down the amount of blood an limbs that come off the zombies. To tell you the truth, the zombies also aren't very scary. The zombies that would scare younger kids would probably be the smoker and the witches. the reason I rated this game on for 12+ is because there is teamwork involved and because there are good role models. I think common sense media is very wrong.
