Great game! (SPOILERS)
Life is Strange: True Colors is a perfect addition to the franchise. The game does have some violence and a decent amount of language use. One character runs a dispensary and there are references to marijuana gummies. The game has an amazing and emotionally gripping storyline, and is so immersive that it feels like you're watching the plot of a television series unfold. I got hooked after the first chapter. The game is also very inclusive. There are many characters of color, and there are two characters Alex can fall in love with, one of which is a lesbian. Alex is a bisexual, which pleased me to see, as a member of the LGBTQ community. Despite the game having romantic interests, there are no scenes with sex or nudity. The farthest it goes is an optional kiss. Overall, it's an amazing game, but still has mature themes, though they aren't anything anyone older than 12 can't handle.

Really good for tweens and teens
I’ve played LIS games since I was 10 and I do think a mature 10 year old is ok for these kinda games but do take into account it does have some heavier topics but that’s really it as long as your kid is ok with cursing. There is a lot of cursing and light drinking but all characters that drink are adults and of age. There is some violence but nothing to bad it’s about the same amount as a marvel movie probably even less. I honestly think this game is great and has amazing representation in the people of color community and the LGBTQ+ community.

Mixed feelings
As someone who has played multiple emotional games including Life is Strange 1, I’d say Life is Strange: True Colors is not as emotionally wrecking as the others, the chapters felt a bit rushed (at least for me) and too fast-paced. It’s also really short - in the first game one chapter was at least two hours long. It also did not have any emotional effect on me - while the first game has affected me personally for days, heck, even weeks.
I love the graphics though - they are amazing, and the characters are well-detailed. The world is technically alive - you can interact with some of the NPCs while walking around the streets in Haven and even help them by reading their mind.
There are far more choices in this game than in LiS1, though most of them don’t really affect your ending.
I really liked the plot twist of the villain and by now I can tell that the villain in their games is not someone who’d you expect.
The soundtrack is amazing too.
3/5. It could’ve been better for such a high price.
