When I played this, I admit It was very eerie in one of the levels when your in a castle or something and it is haunted. The ghost and all are not scary but the music and sound effects are. Besides that a cute family-friendly game for all gamers! The online does tend to have blood. Not splurts but the creators can be smart and put " Red Paint " on some spooky levels representing blood! Online can be violent. Online should be supervised by an older person. Fine for 4 and over [ NOT UNDER, OVER ]. Deserves a 4/5
Difficult, not for under 9, not the cute family game promised.
MUCH too difficult for 8 or under. I'm a pretty good gamer, and I have trouble playing! It's a cute game with a cute concept - but there are deadly ghosts, if you die you pop up again but only 4 times before you have to replay the level, and nearly every button on the controller is used making it very complex.
I was disappointed - thought it was a creative puzzle game that was family-friendly. It's like Super Mario Brothers on steroids with very difficult levels and deadly enemies. I'd pass.
A very fun game with cute character. A good storyline and awesome online features and gameplay. There may be some bad stuff someone has made but you can report that in the good grief section of the game, and M&M does act quickly to get it off. The physic in are great (you can really test Newtons 3 laws of motion in this game). LBP2 is basically a better version of LBP with newer and cooler features and cooler costumes.
This is appropiate for any age really, But a huge problem is it will bore anyone younger than 10. It bored me within about 15 minutes. Its like a failing Mario. The sack person can die but it isn't violent. Its just for people who don't get bored of rubbish. The problem is I will willingly play Call of duty for 12 hours straight. But I couldn't possibly do that with this game. I just got rid of it instantly. Traded it in and got half what I paid. I'm not happy with it. It will entertain 6 year olds.
It seemed like kind of a lame game at first when I looked at the cover, but once i started playing it I had a lot of fun. My sisters and I have had quite a few laughs playing this game.
This game is brilliant. The story mode is addictive and the narrator is hilarious if you enjoy dry humor. What makes this game stand out from any other is the user created levels. People are continually making levels that blow me away. The game never gets old because there's a steady stream of new downloads to use for creating and user generated content. This game is a must own if you have a PS3!
As an adult i think this game is fun for all ages! Its simple and gives kids a chance to create there own little levels in the game. however, be careful if your going to let your kids play this online because people can submit there own content and some of it is rather sexual or violent, however most of it gets removed.
14 & 11 year old brothers actually laughing together!
Our two sons, ages 11 and 14, really enjoy this game. Usually my wife & I hear them bickering over games within 5 minutes, but this game somehow draws them in and makes them join forces! I've played as a third wheel sometimes but I can't really get the hang of it. Nevertheless I am impressed by the levels they have created for themselves. The graphics also have a charming old-fashioned, wind-up and wooden toy feel, and players move around the planet from continent to continent, encountering and battling various wind-up menaces and overcoming obstacles along the way.
It's good to see that finally a game where we can make our own Levels are released. And it's quite challenging too, ecspecially when we're trying to get all the prize bubbles and clear the whole game without dying. A good game for a teen audience in my opinion, since kids may pick up a lot of bad words when playing on the net, and a lot of people makes pretty scary levels where they use red stickers to make pretty realistic looking blood. Also, two of the original levels on the game does also contain blood on the wall. (In the Japanese world, called "The Island")
this game is inventive, inspiring, hilarious and multi generation friendly. (one weird thing, though, is that kids can figure out how to slap the characters which is alarming and gets old quickly in the hands of a 12 year old.
First off if you have a PS3, GO GET THIS GAME NOW! This is by far one of the most fun games I have ever played. This game has a great story mode and it's even more fun to play with your friends. This game is a nice change of pace in this wide world of shooter games. Don't get me wrong I love my GOW, COD4, and Halo, but sometimes you get a little tired of shooting. If you say this game is too kiddy, that's one of the lamest excuses I've heard for not playing this game. Go read other site reviews and see what thery're saying. You'll find out this is one of the greatest games of 2008 and possibly one of the most creative and innovative game ever developed.
