Good, but only for teens
I have three concerns with Lord of the Rings: Conquest. The first is violence: this game is about war and battles, but it doesn't really glorify violence and their is no blood. The second is that you can play as an evil character. I just don't think it's right to be evil even in a video game. That is the negative message. Thirdly it's Lord of the Rings, it contains some magic and such. If you approve of the movies I would approve the game, because the violence is greatly toned down from the gory movies. All in all, its a fun game to play with two player co-op, different classes of units, and occosional opportunities to play as the heroes from the books/movies (Aragorn, Gimli, Gandalf etc.) I would let a 13 year old play it, but nobody younger than that.

Tweens and up
My son play's this game very often, and sometimes I watch him to make sure there's nothing bad. It's very violent, yes, but there is no blood or gore. The game has some good and bad role models, the evil being bad and the good being good. All in all, I would say tweens and up can play it, but that's my opinion.

I think this game is perfectly suitable for any kid 11 or older the violence isnt very bad as its made up to be it is just battling with a sword and shield since their is no blood or gore this game is suitable for anyone who has seen the movies and can handle them.

Suprisingly Addictive!
Lord Of The Rings: Conquest is a pretty Epic game Overall, if you can Ignore the Few Minor Flaws. I immensely enjoy games like this with Large Scale battles, Epic Heroes, and almost non-stop Excitement. There are Four Different classes to choose from, ranging from a Stealthy Scout to a Support Mage and Even an Archer(Not to Mention Heroes such as, Aragorn and Gimli). The Violence in this game is pretty much what you'd expect from a Lord Of The Rings Title. There's no Blood or Gore (From What I've Seen) and Bodies generally "Disappear" after a period of time (Although you can see multiple dead enemies on your screen at a time). Now for the Flaws, this game's not overly Realistic, (i.e., when struck by an arrow the arrow never even appears on the corpse)Your Characters animations seem a little Awkward when running, and During Big Battles you may experience a "Hiccup" in the Frame Rate. If you're willing to look past these minor flaws I think you may be as Pleasantly Suprised as I was!
