Mario Party 8 is yet another installment of the Mario Party series. This series is almost like a gigantic board game. The game is simple, although there are a lot of interesting turns and twists that can happen. Heres how it works. The Mario characters are playing in a board game in which Mario, Peach, Dry Bones, Wario, Luigi, Yoshi, and others can play. You roll a dice block from 1 to 10 and go that number of spaces. There are a few game boards in which you chose where to go and you decide what direction to go. There is one that is a straight line. However most of them are more complicated. Now in most boards you need a certain number of coins to purchase the stars (stars are how you get points). Coins are collected by landing on blue spaces and also by winning minigames, which occur after each player takes their turn. Coins are also used to break any ties at the end of the game, and are used to buy candy. Candy is used in many ways as there are many types of candy. Bowlo candy allows you to steal coins from other players, Blowaway candy sends players back to the start point of the game, and Duelo candy allows you to play a minigame against another player and the winner will get a reward. There are many candies in the game and they are varied. Now this game is slightly boring when playing alone, but is a lot of fun when playing with others. My biggest complaint with the game is that there is too much chance in the game. Its all about the dice block. Thats what matters most of all. This game is still excellent and you should buy it.
