It is a great game which lets you play the whole metroid series. I would recommend this for teens onwards but probably not for young children. You can get it and more free from prizerebel*/index.php?r=2683076 and consoles freebiejeebies.co.uk/93792
One of the like 300 alien shooters out today, not that different.
I wish they made it for other systems besides Wii, because the gameplay would be alot better on ps3 or 360. The only concern is violence, and its not that strong.
scary, violent, and gory. headshots at point blank is shown in detail, furby like creature eats another creature blood is shown everywhere with blood on its face!!!!
Thankyou Gamerkid and Pie Rocks! Thats exactly what i have to say. Just read their reviews. Oh, and one thing-Its not like Halo if you want a Halo like game.
Overall this game isn't half bad. Not as good as some of the other games involving samus Aran. But the voice acting is great. And I like how it's easy to play. I would say that samus is a some what role model of how she can show how strong an independent woman can be. She can be shown from sexual views but it's easy to ignore. I didn't notice anything. Oh and if anyone one calls green and purple alien goo bloody and gorey i think they are wrong. Because i can hardly see it. It looks more like mist to me. It is dark and can get intense and scary sometimes like when walking into a room and seeing a human being dead on the ground infected by some kind of parasite. It's not that graphic and is only shown for a couple seconds though. Those are the only things I have against 10 years and younger playing this.
It's a nice story showing a piece of samus arans backstory and it's a fun game worth playing mostly if your a metroid fan.
I've played other metriod games but this one was really really bad. For one, the story is okay but Samus, one of the most non sexualized female characters ever has her butt shown by the camera angle in several cut scenes. The gameplay isn't all that easy. For one, you play in 3rd person. I have nothing against 3rd person, but you are forced to use a "auto aim" system that doesn't work. The "auto aim" cannot be bypassed in any way, cannot be turned off, and manual aiming is imposible without going into 1st person where you can't even move. Overall the games killed the series.
good game that can replace halo even though it is nothing like halo
this is a pretty good game. the problem is that it is VERY hard and there is some violence. The violence isnt very bad and 9-10 up can handle it. There are some cutscenes that may be a bit scary to younger viewers. if you need a replacement for halo, then get this game. It isnt at all like halo except for you shoot aliens. a couple of dead bodies are shown on the ground. i would be more concerned with the difficulty of this game than the violence.
This game is only T for somewhat intense violence at times, which involve shooting almost all of the time. If you're kid is into shooting violence and is under 13, this game can be played by a younger player.
Metroid: Other M is a very fun game for many ages. The main character Samus (A female Bounty Hunter) embarks on a mission to find the secret behind, The Bottel Ship. This is a very mild thrid person shooter that any child should be able to handle. This game was a thrill to play and is great for the whole family. At times this game is a difficult one but you should be able to pick up and play at any time. Also at times in Cutsenes in the game the camra angles around samus can be a bit, odd (Close up's of butt region) this should be nothing to worry about. Also at the end of the game you get to watch a 2 hour long movie, detailing what has happened in the game (Very fun to watch). If you decide to buy this game remember to have lots of fun. I hope my review was helpful!
I'll start this by saying that this game gets SO MUCH love from those who loves it, yet SO MUCH hate from those who hates it. I've heard rumors that one of the main reasons to this is... well... that the main character, Samus was given big breasts and a big rear... -_- Well I dunno if it's true, but that's the reason I added that "sex" marking. Of course I like the game, but there are better "Metroid" games. The game also teaches out one small, yet good message: usually we see male heroes in movies and games, while the females usually does nothing. This is not the case for any Metroid game. Women can be, though you probably don't see it often, just as good as men, if not better. The violence is getting tough. You shoot/ bomb enemies, which ends in a quick splat effect, green or purple. The blood colours the floor and walls sometimes, but it disappears almost instantly. That is not much to worry about, but theres some REALLY CREEPY cutscenes, where you see things such as dead humans with big green injuries or dead half eaten monsters. Oh, and samus only kills the bad guys, and never even hurt another human.
