mortal kombat reached its armageddon
This game is the worst for the PS2. It's surprising how it dodged a billion bullets to get on store shelves worldwide. The most disappointing installment in the series by far. Even if it is grotesquely violent, do not get this game for your kids for 2 reasons: it's horrific, and it's gruesomely violent. End of story. Need I say more?

this ia a good, but gruesome game, intense blood and gore,but that is what the mortal kombat games are known for.
some of the characters are scantily-clad, but it seems to be normal to all the other characters.
bottom line: Strong stomached kids 9+

The Only Thing To Worry About is the violence
I Like Mortal Kombat But its Gory, The Only Sexual content it has is Women in reviling outfits "Hell" is used but not in a swaring manner in fact it's a level name.And For Fans of The Series This Game Has A lot of charaters From Mortal Kombat:Deadly Alleance to Now The Omly Thing T o Reallly Worry about is The violence

Why is everyone all like "not for kids"?
Awesome game. Sure, there's blood, but it's not you don't see blood in shows like Naruto and people bleed themselves. And, if you can't stomach blood or something, there's an option to turn the blood off. BTW, I'm playing the Wii version, but it's not listed here.

This Game is Awesome! and i totally think that NOT FOR KIDS is a Horrible review! There is alot of (unrealistic) Blood and Violence. But if you can handle that this game is for you. You can Kreate-a-fighter, And you can fight with them online, and you can learn different moves and Skills. This Game is really fun and defiantly 12-13+ if you can handle Violence

The final fight...
Ahh, Mortal Kombat. I was only 3 when MKII hit SNES, but it was life. Now, all of my favorite Characters in each game are on here.
Drugs/Alcohol: Bo Rai Cho is a drunkard, figure it out.
Sexual References: Yes, revealing outfits.
Violence: Like you need a description.

awesome for teens
as for me i think it can be 2 gory at some times especially for little ones because they cant take responsibility so. that is why i would wait till they could understand that its just just a game. and those things are JUST for entertainment

Come on.
This game isnt as bad as you think. So, your at gamestop and your kid points this game out. It says it is rated M for Blood and Gore and Intense Violence. But you could turn off and decrease the amount of Blood. But this game still contains gore. In some levels there are things called Death Traps witch is gory and an automatic kill.

You can lower the content:
I'm a teen, yes, and i got this game when i was 11. It is completely fine because there is an option that allows you to turn off the blood and gore, the option of killing using the stage, and turning off the fatalities or just lowering their content.

me and my dad play this all the time. in real life there is no way u could actully do any of those thing and it is for pure entertainment I played this when I was 8 for heavens sake!

A very polished MK game that would keep you playing. The creativity is awesome. KREATE A KHARACTER and KREATE A FATALITY is awesome. My favorite modern MK game.

Ok as long as your children know that you should not do the things done in this game
Jesus Christ fatalities are completly optional and you can tone down blood and yes the costumes for women are skimpy but its not like their butt naked and if your child knows that it is all fake and none of it can ever happen in real life than you should get it for 10 and a half and up.

Actually, the only redeeming value was the educational value which has you thinking outside the box many time. and there is also something like creating a character for your imagination to go wild with.
