Carbon is a very fun game. But parents need to watch out for some stuff. Before every race there will be a girl to indicate when to start. Most of the time they will be wearing some suggestive clothing such as halter tops. Violence is an issue to. Players will crash into police cars and total them, spike strips will be used as well as road blocks. When you are arrested it will show a short clip of police tackling the player. Sometimes the criminal will punch but the cop will always win. Which can be violent for kids even though the cops are doing the tackling. if your kid knows the rights and wrong about illegal street racing it is OK
I was simply shocked to see that you are encouraged to trick and avoid cops. In fact, after seeing a police car flip over, the game cheers you on further. I had relied on the E10+ rating to buy this for my son and had to yank it away. How does a company like EA get away with incenting such blatantly criminal (and violent) attitudes for 10 year olds?
If you actually look at the game before you get it, you know it is a street racing game, and part of street racing is cops and how to deal with them. The game has a video scene in the bigging that not only says don't do the things done in this game for safety reasons but also says that many of the things in the game are illegal. So if your kids can handle a video game a realize it is fake not real than they can play this game, I think the 10 plus rating is good, because most 10 year olds can tell real from fake and good from bad.
Carbon underuses the cops and gives pusuits no value or importance. The new autosculpt feature is cool but the cars aren't much different. But its still fun to play.
