This is by far one of the best games ive ever played!!!
The graphics are absolutly AMAZING the controls are FANTASTIC, and the story line is GREAT!!! I highly reccomend this game!!!
This game is my favorite and I would recommend it for ages 12 and up. It includes a lot of sake and smokers but I started playing when I was 8 years old so i got use to it eventually.
Visually stunning........a must play if you like adventure games....
What clicks you when you hear the name of the game 'Okami'.....obviously some Japanese crap. But after reading the online reviews.....I blowed up my pocket money to run and buy this one. Okami is a charming game with beatiful graphics. You play a Goddess turned wolf with a magic paintbrush which can be used to make anything. With your nutty friend Issun you explore the worlds and save the people. This also allows you to roam around freely. If you love challenging adventure games......BUY IT!!!!
Three words: I LOVE IT. I believe that Okami is the greatest adventure game ever. It has spectacular graphics and awesome, fantasy-related powers & controls!! I have actually cried too! (when Ammy had to board the Ark of Yamoto & leave Issun) because they are the greatest of friends! I am a pro at okami (I've beat it 3 times :) and i will never stop loving it! I also hope there's a number two where Issun and Amaterasu re-unite and have to go on an even GREATER adventure!
If you're a fan of the Japanese culture, you'll love this game! I know I did! Based on a real legend, this game lets you play as Omikami Amaterasu, a Japanese Goddess who uses a paintbrush as a weapon. The educational part is that you'll learn a bit about the Japanese culture. You'll laugh and cry at certain parts of this game. Okami is a must for every gamer!
This is on of the best games that I have EVER played and it's the first one I ever beaten. The only problem is busty ladies and people drinking and smoking.
Anyone can play this game.
11+
TRULY THE BEST GAME EVER!! it is based off of the mythology of japan so some parts some pepol might not get but it is not needed at all to play the game. there are some bloody seens but its nothing too graphic. the game is 5 games in one. well its not five games in one but it takes up that amount of time to play unless you ar skilled at gaming. the first time i played it (i rented it) i beat it in about 20 somthing days. but the seccond time i played it i beat in in a week....
A beautiful world in which you get to adventure around as the sun god Okami Amaterasu with your loyal companion a Poncle named Issun whom is dubbed the Wandering Artist. Its a magical place with a wonderful style of art and creative characters and demons you get to face.
Okami is fun and teaches the ways of Japan (thats why i love it. JAPAN!) You play as a sun god in a wolf form named Amaterasu. it has some close to nude, but doesnt show anything! ya, it shows a girls back at one part, but thats it. and Issun (your tiny helper) is a perv but hes funny.
I love how the made the game look like your in some kind of painting. heck, you mostly fight with your powers by painting. you can even make shooting stars in the sky.
I have to say that Mr. and Mrs. Cutter are scary. How they want to eat everything or anyone. but they are easy to fight. but, AWESOME GAME!!!!
Okami is my all time favorite game to the PS2. Thought a lot of repetitive button smashing, some inappropriate humor, and a few under-dressed women (and men in my opinion) it's still excellent.
The style of art stands out the most, which is truly unique. You will probably spend 15 hours to beat the game, but probably more since you want to enjoy the art. In the beginning there is an inappropriate scene, thought very brief. If you're very sensitive to skimpily clad people it probably isn't for you. However the game stresses honor, duty, and friendships. A beautiful, fun game for Japanese lovers!
I think this is a great game, but a little too complex and slightly inappropriate for kids. There are quite a few sexual references, although they are not a large part of the game, and some partial nudity in the art. The playing style may also be difficult for younger players, as some parts require precise drawing and a lot of logical thinking. A large amount of the game is based on fighting, mainly with demons, and some parts involve demons being chopped in half, but there is no blood or gore. Some characters also die during the game, but again, there is no blood or gore. Definitely a game that will leave you wanting it to last forever!
