Now You're Thinking With Portals
Valve Software's hit title Portal is nothing short of the best. The game forces you to think outside of the box to solve puzzles using a device that creates two connected wormholes in walls, celings, and floors. Physics are constanly being used in new and inventive ways. For a game with not much story, it does get quite dark and intense towards the end. The game's overseer, GLaDOS, tries to kill the player in a variety of ways, only one of which shows blood. However, the game does bring forth a message about not giving up and persevering to get to your goal.

PORTAL
It is a popular game, but when I try it, I'll update this review. Seen the walkthrough, and I saw there is a cheat to get guns from HL2 and bazookas and stuff. Also, if you get hit by a Sentry Turret, the player, Chell will leave blood on the surfaces. If you aren't able to let your kids play games with any violence, this is Not for (YOUR) Kids. Then they can figure out how to get guns, humans, and creatures from Half Life 2. And with creatures, I mean zombies and headcrabs.

Valve pulls off another amzing First-Person masterpice
Portals mix of dark humor and fast paced first person puzzles mixes perfectly for an amazing first person expirence. The blood to me though is a bit concering(tons of blood splats on walls when you are shot by turrets) but nothing a 10 year old cant handle. This is a must buy if you are in for a exclent game

Puzzle, puzzle, puzzle, scream, eat, puzzle
The triple A puzzler. The brain twisting math homework of a video game. Plus its REALLY fun. Violence is extremely limeted to bullet shooting robots and a little blood splatters on walls. Mainly this game is just difficult. I started playing when I was 9. I had to take long breaks between puzzles to keep from breaking down. Let me tell you, before letting anyone play this make sure you have bookmarked a walkthrough.

Great game,very educational
A worth playing game. The game has no sexual content or bad language. You need to be logic and clever to plat this game, because this game is about TESTING. I recommend to anyone to play it, but nor for them that are not logic. Like, my brother, hate this game. Hate the first Portal, even the second Portal game. There's little bit violence, like throwing the turrets on the floor, and they feel the pain, and that they shoot bullets. It is educational for your brain, solving the puzzles is so important. Don't care about the story or the graphics, care about the gameplay, because is really fun.

For all ages, but only 13+ will get maximum enjoyment out of the game
There is minimal blood in the game, which is little more than a red tint on the screen or a red splatter on the wall/floor.
personally, I only reccomend it for kids 12+ as children under that age probably will not get the dark humor that goes on during the story.

One of the Best Games Around!
This is one of my all-time favourite games. Portal is an exciting, mind-bending puzzle-solving game. I only marked violence as a concern because there are approximately 2-3 levels in the game that include having to navigate around turrets, these small stationary robots will shoot at you and, if hit, there is a noticeable spray of blood on the walls/floor. The reason i said it was educational was because it makes you think and teaches you to use your brain in different ways to solve unusual puzzles. Portal will totally change your perspective when problem-solving. The games movement controls etc. are easy to grasp while the puzzle-solving will take a bit longer. However, i highly reccommend this game to all audiences because it is one of those few games that is relatively non-violent and encourages creative-thinking. (*NOTE* The OFLC (Australian) rating for this game is MA15+, however, do note that Portal was originally a simple bonus feature added to the Orange Box, a set of shooter games, and was not individually released until a while later.)

Brilliant puzzle game, some violence and blood, one slightly creepy character, 11+
I love this game. It is educational, fun, safe and easy to play. The aim of the game is to create portals to solve increasingly difficult puzzles. I haveo finished the game and was fun and it's good because it requires logic and thought. Young children might find GLaDOS a bit creepy but definitely on for 11 year olds and up.

Great fun and Hours of Strategizing involved
this game is fun but its really hard towards the end. Its a puzzle game only and not killing or anything like that. They call it a FPS (first person shooter) but the only thing you shoot is the wall, and the thing your shooting is portals, not bullets or weapons.

Fun Game
Really good game but it gets frustrating when you die. GLaDOS does say some mean stuff nearer to the end but she is still funny. I think it should be for 8+ because there is a bit of blood and GLaDOS forces you to kill your companion cube to complete the level. But I thinks it's a GREAT game!

THE CAKE IS A LIE
it probably has the most HILARIOUS quotes I've ever heard from a game, but some of the quotes do... um... well, at one point GLaDOS says something along the lines of "the enrichment center reminds you that android hell is a real place where you will be sent at the first sign of defiance" (probably not her exact wording but it was something about being sent to android hell) also, whenever there's something adorable/lovable, (such as turrets, companion cube, or curiosity core) you have to destroy it usually. GLaDOS tries to kill you alot, using such things as a fire pit and nurotoxin (however it's spelled). and the anger core scares me. it's still a GREAT game, however, and i do think it's the funniest I've ever heard of. p.s. the cake is a lie.
